Boundless Infinitum Set

The Boundless Infinitum Set, also translated as the Heaven's Expense Infinitum Set, is the hereditary eleven-piece god set of Heaven's Expanse Palace. Long ranked as the world's foremost Consolidated Equipment set, it combines close-combat offense, exceptional defense, resistance to Divine Territories, and a Divine Territory of its own.

History

Treasure and succession of Heaven's Expanse Palace

The set is already a completed palace relic when first described, occupying the top position on the Consolidated Equipment Chart and underpinning Heaven's Expanse Palace's status among the Great Saint Lands. Its designs and scroll-making labor are reserved for the Palace Master and direct heir. Shangguan Tianyang wears a complete version, allowing him at the maximum Heavenly Emperor tier to hold his own against the Heavenly God Xue Ao'tian even though he cannot defeat him outright. Shangguan Xue'er accepts pieces of the set as the designated heir and builds her cultivation around its sword. Before completing it, her concentrated sword path draws out a temporary completion-like white radiance from the partial armor, but techniques that remove Consolidated Equipment remain a serious threat because losing the set causes her combat strength to fall sharply. Her inheritance also binds her politically to the Palace Master position. (Chapters 97, 184–185, and 212)

A second completed wearer

After Xue'er chooses to remain with Zhou Weiqing and the Peerless Sect, she initially believes she cannot finish the armor because Palace law reserves the complete set for its master. Zhou exchanges the secret of Saint Energy with Heaven's Expanse Palace in part to secure complete Consolidated Equipment sets for the three sisters, including Xueer's remaining Boundless Infinitum pieces. At the Grand Tournament of Saint Lands, Tianyang activates his complete copy to resist the Destructive Divine Territory, while Xue'er later appears in a complete set and cuts through the opposing Heavenly King and Heavenly Emperor formations. By the end of that conflict the set remains one of the world's premier god sets, but it no longer holds an uncontested first rank: the newly perfected eleven-piece Ringless Ground Purging Set and other god sets wielded by Heavenly Gods surpass what Tianyang can draw from it. The source repeatedly stresses that an armor's realized power depends on the cultivation and methods of its wearer, not only the design's rank. (Chapters 824 and 832–833)

Abilities and properties

• Eleven-piece god set: Full completion produces crystal-like armor filled with flowing white mist that appears to consolidate all attributes. Its principal weapon is the Boundless Infinitum Sword, and the overall set is treated as the foremost close-combat Legendary Set of its era. (Chapters 184, 221, and 819–820)
• Divine Territory interaction: The complete set resists the suppression of hostile Divine Territories and generates the Boundless Infinitum Divine Territory. This lets Tianyang contend with opponents above his cultivation tier and break the pressure of the Destructive Divine Territory. (Chapters 819–820)
• Defense and offense: The armor's mist-like protection can make incoming attacks seem to vanish into water, while its sword channels the wearer's close-combat and sword intent. Xueer's eight-piece form already gives her the strongest attack among Zhou's wives during one defense, and the completed armor supports her rapid defeat of multiple high-tier enemies. Her half-Saint Nucleus and sword training contribute to those later results, so they are not properties of the armor alone. (Chapters 797 and 822–823)
• Limits and counters: Incomplete wearers receive only the pieces their cultivation and available scrolls support. Dragon Silencing Seal can remove Xueer's Consolidated Equipment and sharply reduce her fighting strength. Even complete, the set does not guarantee victory over a Heavenly God, and its performance varies with the wearer's cultivation and specialization. (Chapters 97, 185, 254, 772, and 824)
