Xixi

Xixi is a young Gold Crow Tribe fighter, Crow's cousin, and Han Mo's girlfriend. Her immense physical strength, Ice Attribute, heavy armour, and twin axes make her one of the Heavenly Bow Battle Team's principal close-combat fighters. Her soft voice and shy everyday manner contrast with a ferocious battle instinct that earned her the title Gentle Fiend Goddess.

Biography

Joining the Heavenly Bow Battle Team

Han Mo introduces Xixi when Zhou Weiqing needs a final member for the Heavenly Bow Empire's first Heavenly Jewel Tournament team. She is eighteen or nineteen in appearance, already a four-Jeweled Heavenly Jewel Master, and regarded alongside Crow as one of the Gold Crow Tribe's strongest young talents. Crow identifies them as the tribe's “Fire and Ice Duo”: Crow supplies Fire, while Xixi combines Ice with the tribe's inherited strength. Zhou accepts her recommendation, and Xixi travels to ZhongTian with Zhou, Tian'er, Yun Li, Ma Qun, and Crow. (Chapter 208)

Her background explains the split between her gentle manner and lethal combat behavior. As a child, Xixi became lost while hunting with her parents and was raised by a tiger until it died when she was eight. She later wandered the mountains before her tribespeople recovered her. In ordinary company she is bashful, innocent, and slow to catch suggestive jokes, but the law-of-the-jungle instincts of her childhood emerge in battle. Before the tournament she had already killed more than five hundred enemies while defending Crescent City's west gate, thereby earning her battlefield nickname. (Chapters 209 and 214)

Tournament victories

Xixi's first tournament match establishes the pattern of her victories. Wearing the Peerless Regiment's massive heavy armour, she launches herself across the stage, smashes incoming fireballs with her axes, and knocks the Mi Ou team leader out through the force transmitted into his defensive shield. In the pair match that follows, she throws axes that change direction and vent cold mist, slowing two agility fighters just long enough for her and Ma Qun to strike them off the stage. Zhou praises her choice of a control skill: her physical offense is already overwhelming, so limiting speed addresses the weakness most likely to keep a target beyond her reach. (Chapter 214)

Against the Geritimo team, Xixi and Crow demonstrate the coordination behind their Fire and Ice reputation. They hook their axes together to fling each other into new attack lines, exchange opponents in midair, and use a chained axe to redirect Crow's descending fire attack. Xixi then follows as a spinning mass of ice. Their alternating heat and cold make an Earth-spirit opponent's stone body brittle, after which their four thrown axes break it and drive the opponent from the stage. The victory depends not merely on strength but on the cousins' timing and practiced understanding. (Chapter 216)

The team's feud with Bai Da reveals Xixi at her most ruthless. She overwhelms a Strength-and-Earth fighter in one exchange; the cold released with her axe freezes the victim before the body shatters, breaking the opposing team's will to continue. In the top-eight match against the BaoPo Battle Team, she defeats an opponent whom Ma Qun has exhausted, but that effort costs substantial Heavenly Energy. A late-seven-Jeweled Passion Valley talent then suppresses Xixi and the next Heavenly Bow fighters through a decisive advantage in attributes and cultivation. The loss fixes the limit of Xixi's tournament strength: she is devastating against peers, but not immune to a much higher cultivation stage. (Chapters 219 and 223)

Appearance and personality

Xixi is an exceptionally tall young woman whose stature exceeds even Crow's. She has heavy steps, a powerful build, and beautiful features; at her introduction, she looks approximately eighteen or nineteen. Her tournament armour turns that already imposing figure into a moving steel fortress. In contrast, her voice is silky, sweet, and gentle enough to startle judges who hear it from behind the armour. (Chapters 208 and 214)

She is shy around Han Mo and leans toward him despite towering over him. She is also described as comparatively innocent and does not understand some of Zhou's jokes. Once combat begins, however, she crouches like a hunting beast, releases concentrated killing intent, and attacks without hesitation. The ferocity is controlled rather than mindless: it vanishes as soon as an opponent is safely off the stage, while against national enemies she accepts lethal force. (Chapters 208–209, 214, and 219)

Abilities and cultivation

Xixi is a four-Jeweled Heavenly Jewel Master. Her Physical Jewels are pure Strength Attribute, and her Elemental Jewels are Ice Attribute. Gold Crow Tribe physiology gives her exceptional strength, tough skin and bones, and the constitution to fight in armour weighing roughly a thousand jin. Her explosive leg strength can launch that armoured mass across an arena and leave a deep crater in its granite floor. (Chapters 208 and 214)

Axes, armour, and close combat

Xixi uses a pair of extremely heavy broad axes. Their thick heads favor durability and crushing momentum over a fine cutting edge, but her strength lets her swing them fast enough to destroy ranged attacks, break defenses, or hurl opponents away through sheer impact. She can throw both axes, alter their paths in flight, and coordinate them with Crow's chained Legendary Axes. The Peerless Regiment heavy armour supplies formidable protection, though Ma Qun is explicitly the stronger defensive specialist; Xixi's expertise is offense. (Chapters 214, 216, and 223)

Ice control and limits

Her most tactical Stored Skill releases white mist from the axes and sharply lowers the surrounding temperature. It is not directly damaging, but momentarily chills an opponent's blood and slows movement, allowing the axes to catch agility specialists. Xixi can also sheath a charging spin in ice and send a cold stream through an axe strike strongly enough to freeze a defeated enemy. Heat followed by her extreme cold can crack an Earth defense, but an opponent drawing strength from the ground still repels her in a direct collision. Higher cultivation and superior attributes can likewise overwhelm her after her Heavenly Energy has been depleted. (Chapters 214, 216, 219, and 223)

Relationships

• Crow: Xixi is Crow's cousin, though the two address each other as sisters. They share tribal upbringing, immense strength, and precise paired tactics as the Fire and Ice Duo.
• Han Mo: Han Mo introduces Xixi as his girlfriend. She is visibly shy and affectionate around the normally taciturn archer; the corpus does not develop their relationship beyond the tournament departure.
• Zhou Weiqing: Zhou selects Xixi for the Heavenly Bow Battle Team and uses early matches to learn her capabilities. He values both her raw offense and the intelligence with which she compensates for limited speed.
• Ma Qun: Xixi and Ma Qun form another heavy-armoured pairing. His defense and her offense complement one another, and their thrown weapons plus her cold mist defeat faster opponents.

Items

Xixi fights with twin broad axes and a set of Peerless Regiment heavy armour. The axes are her recurring weapons, but the corpus does not name them or identify them as Consolidated Equipment. Her armour provides extraordinary protection only because her strength and constitution allow her to move under its extreme weight.
