Nie Han — Heavenly Jewel Change

Nie Han is one of XuanTian Palace's three God Tier Consolidating Equipment Masters, a high-rank Heavenly King, and a participant in the expedition against the Terror Sea Dragon. He helps judge Zhou Weiqing's claimed profession, trades crafting knowledge with him, and later anchors the Palace's Tenebrous Demon Sealing Formation.

Biography

Consecrated crafter and sea-dragon expedition

Nie Han first appears by name beside Dreamwake after the pair examine Zhou's completed God Tier scroll. He accepts the young outsider only after the work demonstrates genuine training, visits during Zhou's recovery, and attends his welcome into XuanTian Palace. Zhou's subsequent creation of fifty different scrolls overturns Nie Han's initial suspicion that luck and Time power had covered a weak foundation. Rather than defend that judgment, Nie Han recognizes the evidence and spends the following month exchanging the XuanTian Continent's crafting methods with the newcomer. (Chapters 242–244)

Within the Palace, Nie Han is friendly without pretending to control policy. He jokes with Zhou after the newcomer's embarrassing descent into the abyss, carries him back from the Tenebrous Demon Dragon's lair, and later delivers the expedition schedule. His conduct also reveals that he knows Dreamwake's concealed authority: he defers to her, understands why senior officers seek her decision, and is among the few whom Zhou identifies as aware of the truth. Although Nie Han suggests Zhou remain behind because of his apparent five-Jewel cultivation, he accepts the Consecrated's refusal and includes him rather than attempting to force the issue. During the hunt, Nie Han joins Dong Fang, the four Grand Elders, and six other Elders in the twelve-person sealing formation. Their preparation successfully traps the first Terror Sea Dragon and suppresses the Water power it would normally draw from the ocean. The dragon's final self-detonation kills all six ordinary Heavenly King Elders, but Nie Han survives: his high-rank Heavenly King cultivation and nine-piece Legendary Set give him substantially greater defense. The outcome still leaves the surviving force scattered and injured, marking survival rather than victory as the final result of his direct appearances. (Chapters 248, 250–251)

Appearance and personality

Nie Han is an elderly man and initially one of the two senior examiners watching Zhou's scroll work. The corpus supplies little further facial or bodily detail. In formal Palace scenes he wears the blue clothing of a God Tier Consecrated, whose two sun emblems place him at a status equivalent to the Grand Elders. (Chapters 242–244)

He is observant, technically proud, and capable of revising an unfavorable judgment. Zhou's impossible-looking speed leaves him visibly astonished, but he responds by acknowledging the younger man's real foundation and sharing knowledge. Outside crafting he is genial and practical, using humor to ease awkwardness while conveying warnings and orders clearly. His calm detachment in policy meetings reflects the Consecrates' limited governing role, not indifference to the Palace's survival. (Chapters 242–248)

Abilities and cultivation

Nie Han is a high-rank Heavenly King with Spatial and Tenebrous Elemental Jewel Attributes. Spatial power supports his God Tier Consolidating Equipment profession, while Tenebrous power qualifies him to operate the Palace's bloodline-linked sealing formation. God Tier Consolidating Equipment mastery

Nie Han can distinguish true God Tier work from pseudo-God Tier scrolls and assess how Time reversal changes a failed crafting stroke. He and Dreamwake maintain XuanTian Palace's highest scroll-making tradition, and their exchange with Zhou exposes both sides to methods developed on another continent. His craft rank is explicit, but the chapters do not depict him producing a complete scroll or state his personal success rate, preventing a more precise comparison with the other God Tier masters. Legendary Set and sealing formation

Nie Han possesses a complete nine-piece Legendary Set. Its individual components and special effects are not named, but its defensive amplification is demonstrated when he survives the Terror Sea Dragon's Heavenly Core self-detonation while six other Heavenly Kings are annihilated. This does not make him equal to a Heavenly Emperor: the text explicitly contrasts his lower cultivation with the five Emperor survivors and attributes his exceptional survival partly to the set. As one of the Tenebrous Demon Sealing Formation's twelve anchors, he supplies Heavenly Energy and bloodline-compatible Tenebrous power to a prepared crystal array. The formation can isolate a Heavenly God from non-Tenebrous atmospheric energy and prevent escape, but it requires extensive preparation and remains vulnerable to attacks on its users and to catastrophic self-destruction inside its boundary. Relationships

Zhou Weiqing: Nie Han moves from skepticism to professional respect after Zhou demonstrates a genuine crafting foundation. He shares scroll-making methods, guides him through Palace spaces, and accepts his choice to join the sea expedition.
Dongfang Hanyue: Nie Han knows that the young Consecrated called Dreamwake is XuanTian Palace's real authority. He defers to her decisions while serving as a fellow God Tier crafter and formation participant.
Dong Fang: Nie Han serves under the masked former Palace Master in public and joins the sealing formation she leads during the Terror Sea Dragon hunt.

Items
