Ming Hua
Ming Hua is Ming Yu's younger sister, a teacher at the Fei Li Imperial Family Military Academy, and a Heavenly Demon Sect member descended from Demonic Jewel Masters. Her curiosity about Zhou Weiqing develops into a coercive attempt to recruit him; after that fails, sect orders bind her instead to support him, while her work with Commoner Class One reveals a steadier responsibility beneath her provocative manner.
Biography
Curiosity becomes a personal contest
Ming Yu warns Ming Hua to keep away from Zhou after the new student repeatedly provokes him. Her reputation as the fearless “Flower of Hades' Underworld” makes the warning increase her curiosity instead. She soon competes with Zhou and Shangguan Bing'er for a rental house, first using charm and then demanding a fight. Although she has a cultivation advantage and a specialized Consolidated Equipment Set, Zhou's control Skills, Legendary hammers, and Demonic Devour reverse her strongest attack. He spares her from a killing blow, but she refuses to honor the simple outcome and forces a compromise by threatening to create a scandal and pursue him. The conflict ends with all three sharing the house rather than with a clear surrender. (Chapters 41 and 43–45)
The following day reveals that Ming Hua is also the teacher assigned to Commoner Class One. The arrangement puts her simultaneously in Zhou's home, classroom, and emerging political plans. She is initially suspicious of the poorly educated youth's ambitions, but his unconventional military answers and his ability to unite commoner students make her reassess him. She recognizes that he is not simply a talented fighter: his generosity with scrolls and willingness to confront noble students create a loyalty that ordinary school authority cannot command. (Chapters 46–48 and 53–61)
Recruiting Zhou for the Heavenly Demon Sect
Ming Hua identifies Zhou's Demonic Attribute because his Devour reverses the life-draining connection of her personal Hades' Flower. She leads him through a concealed route outside Fei Li City and explains that inherited Demonic Jewel Masters formed the Heavenly Demon Sect to survive persecution by the Skill Storing Palaces. Her immediate goal is strategic: a first-generation Demonic Jewel Master with Zhou's talent could transform the sect's future. She offers instruction in Demonic cultivation, access to the Heavenly Demon Saint Tome, protection, and even marriage if he accepts the Sect Leader's binding baptism. (Chapters 48–49)
Zhou refuses any seal that would remove his freedom. Ming Hua then threatens that knowledge of the sect leaves him only membership or death, and her father Ming Wu appears to enforce the ultimatum. The attempt fails when Zhou wounds the much stronger Ming Wu through deception and Tian'er intervenes on his behalf. Ming Hua's anger at her father's injury gives way to shock at Zhou's capability. Ming Wu concludes that the sect cannot afford to make him an enemy and orders his daughter to repair the relationship and satisfy his requests, even suggesting a child as a way to preserve Zhou's rare bloodline. Ming Hua resents being treated as a political instrument but accepts the command to support rather than coerce him. (Chapters 49–51)
From pursuit to responsibility
Back at the academy, Ming Hua's relationship with Zhou remains combative in tone but changes in function. She reports dangers, manages the class during his absences, and sees the commoner students defend him collectively when noble families demand punishment. Their response confirms Ming Wu's judgment: antagonizing Zhou would turn an unusually devoted group against the sect, while helping him creates a valuable alliance. Ming Hua therefore becomes part of the stable environment that lets the students train with Zhou's money and Consolidating Equipment Scrolls. (Chapters 53–64)
Months later, the Heavenly Demon Sect gives her an explicit order to fulfill any request Zhou makes and support him without qualification. He does not exploit that order personally. Instead, when the fall of the Heavenly Bow Empire forces him to leave school, he entrusts Commoner Class One to her. Ming Hua accepts the responsibility while Zhou's students choose between following immediately and completing their education. Her last direct appearance leaves her not as his formal Lifetime Follower, but under a binding institutional obligation to aid him and as the teacher responsible for people he regards as future companions. (Chapters 111–112)
Appearance and personality
Ming Hua appears to be around twenty years old and stands roughly 1.7 meters tall. She has a mature, voluptuous beauty contrasted with Bing'er's quieter grace, and she is adept at turning smiles, blushes, and a soft voice into deliberate pressure. She first wears white, later appears in the academy's black teacher robes, and uses rose-red training clothes with her hair tied back for military instruction. In combat, her alluring presentation disappears into cold focus and killing intent. (Chapters 43, 46, and 54)
She is fearless, curious, proud, sharp-tongued, and willing to use embarrassment or social expectations as weapons. Her refusal to concede the house after losing shows both shameless adaptability and a dislike of being controlled. Loyalty to the Heavenly Demon Sect leads her into coercion, but she can revise her judgment when evidence changes and takes her teaching duties seriously. Her growing admiration for Zhou does not erase irritation or attraction; the mixture makes their later exchanges complicated rather than simply hostile or romantic. (Chapters 41–55, 61, and 111–112)
Abilities and cultivation
Ming Hua is a four-Jeweled Lower Zun Stage Heavenly Jewel Master. Her Waxy Jade Physical Jewels provide Flexibility, allowing extreme changes of direction, while her Elemental Jewels carry the rare Life Attribute. The corpus does not show a later cultivation breakthrough, so her four-Jeweled level is the latest confirmed one. (Chapters 43–44 and 57–61)
Flexibility and Consolidated Equipment Set
Ming Hua fights at close range with her entire body. She slips between extended arms, redirects herself in midair, targets acupuncture points, and turns knees, legs, and sudden spins into continuous attacks. Her accuracy and supple movement let her stay attached to a physically stronger opponent while avoiding direct exchanges. This style depends on proximity and momentum; wide-area control, Spatial movement, and overwhelming Strength can interrupt it. (Chapter 43)
She possesses four pieces of a custom Consolidated Equipment Set intended to contain at least six. When released, the set forms flexible plant-patterned armor across her right arm and several parts of her torso and leg, together with a three-chi spike integrated into the arm piece. Its small scale-like construction preserves her range of motion, sockets allow Elemental reinforcement, and the partial set greatly raises speed, Strength, and overall physique. Even so, it cannot let her meet Zhou's God Tier hammers head-on, and the incomplete equipment lacks the full effects of a finished set. (Chapters 43–44)
Life Attribute healing and Shield of Life
Life Attribute Skills cannot normally be Stored as direct attacks, but they give Ming Hua strong recovery and support. A green infusion heals her injured knee almost immediately, and she helps reset Ming Wu's shattered shoulder before applying healing Skills; the crushed bone still requires at least half a month to recover, showing that Life energy accelerates rather than ignores severe structural injury. (Chapters 43 and 51)
Her fourth Stored Skill is Shield of Life. The breastplate of her Consolidated Set carries the same effect, allowing the two barriers to stack into a stronger green shield. The combined release breaks Zhou's Touch of Darkness control and blocks the first contact of an attack, but his real Legendary hammer destroys it in one blow and drives her to her knees. It is therefore a potent emergency defense, not immunity to sufficiently concentrated force. (Chapter 44)
Hades' Flower
Every Life Attribute Heavenly Jewel Master awakens a personal plant for protection; Ming Hua's is the red Hades' Flower, ranked among the top three such plants. She feeds it Life Heavenly Energy to divide one flower into nine and then eighty-one smaller projectiles, increasing coverage and speed. Flowers that pierce a target draw out blood, life force, and Heavenly Energy and transfer that nourishment back to Ming Hua, reducing the victim's ability to continue fighting. (Chapter 44)
The plant's strength is also its central vulnerability. It is directly linked to Ming Hua's life and energy. Zhou's Demonic Devour travels backward through flowers embedded in him, draining Ming Hua instead; after he stops, she has less than a tenth of her energy and survives serious consequences largely because her Life Attribute heals her. Spatial Rend can also block much of the swarm, and the flower hesitates to cross the spatial tear directly. (Chapter 44)
Relationships
- Zhou Weiqing: Ming Hua moves from curious rival to recruiter and threat, then to reluctant institutional supporter. His defeat of her plant and resistance to Ming Wu force her to respect his danger, while his treatment of Commoner Class One gives that respect a leadership basis.
- Ming Yu: Ming Yu is her older brother and the first person to warn her about Zhou. She ignores the warning out of curiosity, but later recognizes that her brother's judgment of unusual talent and leadership was accurate.
- Ming Wu: Ming Hua is loyal to her father and rushes to defend him when Zhou wounds him. His use of her marriage and fertility as sect bargaining tools angers her, yet his command ultimately determines her shift from forced recruitment to support.
- Shangguan Bing'er: Bing'er sees Ming Hua as a romantic danger when they first compete for the house. Ming Hua deliberately exploits that concern, but their shared residence and academy connection settle into wary coexistence rather than a continuing fight.
