Earth’s hidden magical war

When Jason returns to Casselton Beach after years missing and legally dead, he first finds Erika at their childhood home with Ian and Emi. He is afraid that revealing magic and alternate worlds all at once will shatter their lives, so he initially watches from outside and delays contact. Erika's eventual reunion with him combines relief with suspicion as impossible explanations accumulate. Once Farrah appears alive and confirms his story, Erika does not surrender her judgement to the supernatural; she insists on answers, keeps feeding the household, and rebuilds the sibling bond through ordinary work beside Jason in the kitchen. Erika accepts essence magic because the world is becoming dangerous and because it can strengthen the work she already knows.
