Aurelia

Aurelia is a lilac-haired child rescued from a crystal tree after the calamity. Initially understood as a lost elf with unstable crystal magic, she becomes the emotional center of the household shared by Amelia Constantine, Brandon Locke, and the Locke family. Her later history identifies her as the daughter of the elf Crystallia and the wyvern Androxus, but her memories and the full meaning of that heritage remain sealed. (Chapters 194–417)

Biography

The child inside the crystal tree

Brandon, Amelia, and Carl find a towering crystal tree guarded by a Behemoth whose mana signature matches the surrounding crystal. When Brandon and Amelia destroy the construct, the tree cracks and releases a small elven girl into the snow. She wakes terrified and speaks a language they do not know. Amelia's coat and patient approach calm her; after Brandon's improvised sounds make her laugh, she reveals that she knows a little English and introduces herself as Aurelia. (Chapters 194–195)

Asked whether the crystal is her power, Aurelia clasps her hands and materializes a tiny golem. That controlled creation is far smaller than the Behemoth: the travelers conclude that her spiraling, uncontrolled mana produced the giant constructs and dense crystal effects around her imprisonment. Aurelia cannot explain how she entered the tree and remembers little beyond being an elf, leaving Brandon uncertain whether the missing past is amnesia, concealment, or a consequence of whatever sealed her. (Chapters 195–198)

Four travelers and a concealed arrival

Aurelia joins Brandon, Amelia, and Carl as they leave the forest. She imitates Carl's mana lessons despite already possessing magic, improves her English, and demonstrates unusually sensitive perception by sensing danger well before the others. During attacks she clings to the adults rather than fighting, and her small golems provide no established offensive skill. The camp meals, lessons, and shared protection turn a group assembled by disaster into the first safe household she can remember. (Chapters 198–206)

Entering human society requires concealment. Aurelia uses mana to shorten her leaf-shaped ears into a human form, although the change is temporary and her ears return when she stops maintaining it. Brandon asks Amelia to house her, while Carl enters Imperial Academy's dormitory under separate support. Belle welcomes the disguised child immediately, and Aurelia travels into the human domain with the task force rather than being left alone in a forest whose surviving dangers she cannot control. (Chapters 218–222)

A household around the academy

At Amelia's Vale apartment, Aurelia receives her own room and begins calling Amelia “Mama.” Brandon visits, buys her clothes and sweets, and becomes another guardian she follows eagerly; Belle Locke and Brianna enlarge that arrangement into an improvised family. Because exposure of her ears could reveal the elves before their public return, Brandon rejects ordinary preschool and arranges a tutor and Brianna's supervision while the academy members are away. (Chapters 220–264)

Aurelia develops rapidly within that protection. She learns basic arithmetic and crafts, watches children's programs, imitates a magical princess, and practices introductions before meeting Brandon's academy friends at Christmas. Her shy repetition gives way to play once the strangers become familiar. She also makes crystal-letter necklaces for Brandon, Amelia, and herself, turning her natural element into a family emblem rather than a defensive prison or uncontrolled monster. (Chapters 303–304, 342, 378–379)

A hidden parentage and an unopened oracle

During Brandon's later training journey, the wyvern Androxus recognizes Aurelia's scent on him and Crystallia's power in the crystal pendant Aurelia made. He identifies Aurelia as his daughter and Crystallia as her elven mother, establishing that the child is an elf–wyvern hybrid rather than solely an elf. Aurelia herself does not participate in the discovery and, when Brandon later asks about her past, gives no sign that she remembers Androxus, Crystallia, or the conflict that separated them. (Chapters 336–342)

Androxus entrusts Brandon with the Oracle of Crystallia, his wife's final will, but explicitly says it is for Brandon rather than Aurelia and will answer questions only when the time is right. Crystallia's prophecy links Aurelia's survival, the end of the elf–wyvern conflict, Brandon's protection, and a possible future death, while Androxus warns that returning elves may threaten his daughter. By the endpoint Aurelia remains alive with Amelia and Brianna, still attached to Brandon, and cares for a white, blue-eyed cat she also names Brandon. (Chapters 337–342, 417)

Appearance and personality

Aurelia has a small child's stature, lilac hair, lilac eyes, and leaf-shaped pointed ears. She can reshape the ears into a human appearance by maintaining mana, but they return to their natural form at home. Later conversation treats her outward age as about ten while also suggesting she may be much older than she looks; the supplied corpus never establishes her chronological age or displays overt wyvern wings, scales, or other hybrid markers. (Chapters 195, 198, 218, 220, 337, and 379)

She is frightened and wary immediately after release, then becomes affectionate, playful, blunt, and mischievous once she feels safe. Aurelia learns English quickly, loves ice cream and other sweets, becomes absorbed in movies and magical-princess shows, and attaches family titles to the adults around her. She is particularly close to Brandon and Amelia, enjoys Brianna's attention, and protests Belle's relentless teasing even while smiling during their chases. (Chapters 195–206, 220–264, 303–304, 342, and 378–417)

Magic and abilities

Crystal creation

Aurelia can gather mana and materialize crystal constructs. Her first controlled demonstration creates a tiny crystal golem, and she later shapes polished letter pendants through arts and crafts. The much larger Behemoth and crystal-tree environment share her mana signature, but the travelers attribute them to a mana spiral she could not control rather than a deliberate combat technique. By chapter 430, she has not intentionally reproduced a Behemoth or used a golem to attack. (Chapters 194–198, 304)

The crystal also carries an inherited connection to Crystallia. Androxus detects his late wife's power in the pendant Aurelia made for Brandon, implying that Aurelia's creation is not merely a generic mineral construct. The precise inheritance mechanics, whether the pendants have functions beyond their material and signature, and how Crystallia's elven magic interacts with Androxus's wyvern lineage are not explained in the supplied chapters. (Chapters 304, 336–337)

Trait alteration and mana sensitivity

Aurelia can use mana to change the shape of her pointed ears until they resemble human ears. Maintaining the disguise consumes mana, and her natural shape returns when she relaxes it at home. Brandon calls this form of alteration rare among elves, but the corpus does not show Aurelia changing her overall age, size, hair, or other features. The technique is protective concealment rather than a demonstrated enhancement to strength or combat ability. (Chapters 218–220)

She is also highly sensitive to surrounding mana and presences, sometimes detecting danger from a great distance before Brandon and Amelia identify it. This sensitivity helps the group prepare, but it does not provide a defined radius, perfect identification, or immunity to surprise. Her inability to explain her own crystal imprisonment and her fear of some approaching figures show that perception supplies warning without necessarily supplying understanding or control. (Chapters 198–203)

Hybrid heritage

Androxus identifies Aurelia as his daughter with Crystallia, making her an elf–wyvern hybrid. The revelation explains why an elven child can carry a wyvern's scent and her mother's distinctive crystal power, but it does not itself grant a new rank or show a new transformation. No controlled wyvern ability, physical manifestation, or formal combat grade is demonstrated through chapter 430, so the practical limits and future potential of the hybrid lineage remain unresolved. (Chapters 336–342)

Crystal-golem manifestation195First controlled demonstration after rescue: Aurelia creates a tiny crystal golem. The preexisting Behemoth is linked to her uncontrolled mana spiral, not treated as a mastered rank or deliberate technique.
Elf–wyvern hybrid parentage disclosed337Androxus confirms that Aurelia is his daughter with the elf Crystallia through her scent and the pendant's magic. This is an identity and heritage confirmation, not a rank advancement, and Aurelia shows no new power at the moment of disclosure.

Relationships

  • Brandon Locke: Rescuer, guardian, and the person Aurelia seeks whenever she is frightened or misses home. Her crystal pendant lets Androxus recognize Crystallia's power and entrust Brandon with protecting her.
  • Amelia Constantine: Aurelia's primary household guardian and “Mama.” Amelia first calms her after rescue, gives her a home and room, teaches her social routines, and shares ordinary childhood experiences with her.
  • Carl: Fellow young survivor and traveling companion. Aurelia imitates his mana lessons, camps with him, and enters the human domain beside him, although they receive different living arrangements.
  • Belle Locke: Affectionate but overwhelming aunt-like figure. Belle welcomes Aurelia immediately and chases or cuddles her so insistently that Aurelia sometimes calls her scary.
  • Brianna Locke: Tutor supervisor and “Grandma.” Brianna gives Aurelia stable daily care while Brandon, Amelia, and Belle attend the academy or military duties.
  • Androxus: Aurelia's wyvern father. He recognizes her survival through Brandon but avoids a reunion, believing the timing is unsafe and relying on Brandon to protect her from the returning elves.
  • Crystallia: Aurelia's deceased elven mother. Her crystal power persists through Aurelia, and her prophecy places her daughter at the center of the unresolved elf–wyvern conflict.

Items

  • Crystal-letter necklaces: Aurelia makes a crystal “B” pendant for Brandon, an “A” for Amelia, and an “AB” for herself. Androxus later recognizes Crystallia's power in Brandon's pendant, making the family gift evidence of Aurelia's maternal inheritance. (Chapters 304, 336–337)
  • Oracle of Crystallia: Crystallia's sealed final will concerns Aurelia's parentage and future, but Androxus gives it to Brandon and explicitly says it is not for Aurelia. It remains unopened through the supplied corpus, leaving its promised answers and activation conditions unresolved. (Chapters 337–342)
