Nyxtharion #69

Nyxtharion #69 is one bodily piece of Elder Dragon Nyxtharion the Evernight, revived by Nyxtharion #1. It shares the “Great I” hivemind with hundreds of numbered pieces, but remains a distinct body: its dialogue, combat, and lost wing are not interchangeable with Nyxtharion #2, Nyxtharion #4, or #28. Biography

Testing and training Neo in Tartarus

Nyxtharion #69 supports testing Neo Hargraves with the revived Zone 2 Protector, contributes to its resurrection, and joins the collective effort that absorbs Neo's madness. It then corrects Neo's understanding of True Void and spars with him using Death Sword, Voidfang Rain, and Space Lock until Neo masters copied techniques; the training costs #69 a wing. It later calls for the capture of two intruding Dragon Clan Leaders. After #1 is devoured, Neo rejects the remaining pieces' refusal to abandon Tartarus and completes the objective to eliminate or subdue them all. (Chapters 490–493, 500, and 522)

Powers and limitations

#69 can combine Space Lock with #28, generate Voidfang Rain, wield Death Sword, share sensory and mental burdens through the hivemind, and contribute energy to necromantic revival. The shared mind does not erase bodily limits: Neo cracks its scales and severs a wing, while the entire collective cannot repeatedly carry his accumulated madness. Its continued life also depends on #1, the necromancer sustaining pieces #2 through #537. (Chapters 490–493 and 500)
