History

Born from a shadow leopard’s tendons

Yu IlHan discovered the material while heating the tendons of a black shadow leopard with the Eternal Flame. The treatment preserved their resistance to heat, water, and shock while adding extraordinary elasticity. He named the result the Giant’s Rubber Band and immediately recognized it as a power source capable of releasing more force than had been used to draw it. Its first major application was a staged-loading pile bunker. (Chapter 28)

A family of mechanical weapons

Yu IlHan used the material in pile bunkers, explosive hammers, grenades, harpoons, ballistas, and other tools. Its stored tension could launch massive bone ammunition, scatter fragment-filled cartridges, or drive ranged siege equipment without relying on ordinary machinery. Stronger batches followed as Yu IlHan experimented with monster remains: Highland Troll tendons improved on the original, while later production used the muscles and tendons of Orochi for dragon-hunting traps and binding weapons. Dragon-grade refinement

After the Eternal Flame evolved, Yu IlHan processed Karrows’s tendons into an even finer form of Giant’s Rubber Band. He used that batch as the string and driving material of his greatest early bow, Deathgod’s Trajectory. The same principle remained valuable in later magic-engineered weapons, where it worked alongside magical gunpowder to compound force in advanced pile bunkers, ballistas, and the Death Driver.
