Queen Imogen
Queen Imogen is the high-elf ruler and principal country boss of the sixth floor, presented as Signet's half-sister and the polished center of the hunters' Masquerade.
Biography
The Hunting Grounds and the Masquerade
Imogen inherits the high-elf throne after King Finian and presides over the floor's central confrontation as an apparently courteous but lethal level-145 cleric-sorceress. Her intangible status initially prevents physical contact, forcing the crawlers to survive the Masquerade's layered rules and wait for vulnerability rather than attack her directly. When the final battle opens, multiple crawler groups coordinate against her; Prepotente lands the decisive potion-assisted blow, and competing survivors immediately fight over loot taken from her body. Her death closes the country-boss scenario but leaves Signet's family conflict and the mystery of Apito's memorial crystal unresolved. (Chapters 158–219)
The Eighth Floor and Bedlam
Imogen's narrative afterlife appears through rewards, recreated voices, and comparisons. Carl receives a legendary boss box for killing her, while other crawlers receive audience rewards for encounters connected to her. Her ancient-sounding speech becomes a reference point for later divine voices, but these echoes do not indicate survival; the latest evidence continues to treat Imogen as dead. (Chapters 223–224 and 232)
Appearance and personality
Imogen is a beautiful high elf whose polite manner masks the danger identified by her boss description. Her voice is ancient and resonant, and her initial intangibility reinforces an untouchable royal bearing. She is controlled and ceremonial rather than openly frantic, but the corpus provides little private interiority beyond her function as ruler and boss. (Chapters 158, 208–219, and 232)
Skills, class, and abilities
Imogen is explicitly a level-145 High Elf Cleric Sorceress. Her most important demonstrated defense is temporary intangibility, which blocks physical contact until the scenario permits it. She also uses high-level magic within the Masquerade battle, but the supplied chapters do not provide a complete spell list or safely separate cleric abilities from sorcerous ones. Once vulnerability begins, coordinated attacks and Prepotente's consumable-assisted strike can kill her, establishing that the protection is conditional rather than immortality. (Chapters 208–219)
Relationships
- Signet: Imogen is Signet's ruling half-sister and part of the high-elf family that displaced or destroyed Signet's maternal line. (Chapters 158–160)
- Prepotente: Prepotente secures the decisive blow and then contests the memorial crystal taken from Imogen's remains. (Chapter 219)
- The hunters: Imogen hosts the Masquerade around which their seasonal violence and prizes are organized. (Chapters 205–219)
Items
No generated item article is assigned directly to Queen Imogen. Loot taken from her corpse becomes contested among crawlers, but the frozen inventory manifest does not assign her a stable surviving item page. (Chapters 219 and 224)
