Eva

Eva Sigrid is a half-Nagini, half-orc Nimblefoot Enforcer whose loyalty to Hekla drives the Iron Tangle ambush and a long vendetta against Katia. She accumulates player-killer skulls and returns at the Masquerade, where Katia finally kills her after Eva's last attack. (Chapters 92, 97, 152, 220, 240)

Biography

The Circus and the Iron Tangle

Eva enters the dungeon with Katia and joins Hekla's Daughters after killing a man excluded from the group, earning an early player-killer skull. She reinforces Hekla's suspicion that Carl and Donut are testing Katia, then leads the surprise attack intended to kill them and seize Donut. Hekla dies, but Eva escapes through the train window with her vendetta intact. (Chapters 92, 97–98)

The Gate of the Feral Gods

Eva spends the fifth floor trying to reassemble the surviving Daughters around herself. Some respond despite her role in the betrayal, forcing Katia to maintain contact with an enemy who still has influence over former teammates. (Chapter 142)

The Hunting Grounds and the Masquerade

By the sixth floor Eva is a level-40 half-Nagini, half-orc Nimblefoot Enforcer attached to Team Cichociemni and carrying multiple player-killer skulls. She reaches the Masquerade and attacks during the final chaos, killing Firas and helping produce dozens of deaths. Katia finds her buried but alive, demands fear and an apology, then kills her after Li Na insists the threat should end. (Chapters 152, 180, 208, 219–220)

The Eighth Floor and Bedlam

Eva's final act continues after death: she places the Crown of the Sepsis Whore on Katia at the last moment. The curse drives Katia's eighth-floor crisis and makes Eva's revenge outlast her body. Katia accepts responsibility for talking instead of killing Eva immediately, while the group recognizes the delayed attack as another manufactured source of conflict. (Chapter 240)

Appearance and personality

Eva's mixed race gives her a pale, sickly half-serpentine and half-orc form with multiple arms; by the sixth floor she has lost one arm. She is fast, hostile, and vindictive, using former friendships as leverage rather than allowing defeat to end a feud. Her brief apology comes only under immediate threat and does not stop the final curse. (Chapters 97, 152, 220)

Skills, class, and abilities

Nimblefoot Enforcer grants Eva exceptional speed and agile close combat. She fights with two sabers before losing one and uses her remaining limbs to maintain a whirling attack. Player-killer experience and her mixed body make her dangerous, but she is vulnerable when injured and buried after the Masquerade. Her most lasting strike uses the crown as a transferred curse rather than a demonstrated innate spell. (Chapters 97, 101, 152, 220, 240)

Relationships

• Hekla: Eva is Hekla's friend and enforcer, carrying out the attack meant to acquire Donut and continuing the Daughters' split after Hekla dies. (Chapters 92, 97, 142)
• Katia: Their shared entry into the dungeon becomes mutual attempted murder. Katia ultimately kills Eva, but Eva's crown attack continues harming her afterward. (Chapters 92, 97, 220, 240)
• Li Na: Li Na helps Katia find Eva and argues for killing her rather than accepting a tactical apology. (Chapter 220)

Eva has no planned inventory-item links. She fights with twin sabers, one of which Carl recovers on the Iron Tangle, and transfers the Crown of the Sepsis Whore to Katia immediately before death. (Chapters 101, 220, 240)
