Biography

Marketplace arrest

Yu Chengshui trades dangerous attacks with Sun Mao in a crowded marketplace, killing an elderly woman and injuring bystanders through their shared disregard for collateral damage. When Su Chen intervenes, Yu attacks him with a palm technique that gathers cold, shadowy light. Su's Firehawk overpowers the strike, and Yu's attempt to dodge without regard for the crowd leaves him burned. After capture, he invokes the Lian Clan, argues that Su lacks the authority to detain him, and threatens official retaliation before Su forces him to swallow an unidentified medicine and takes him to the Origin Bureau. Clan confrontation

Yu later accompanies Lian Jiao during an ambush against Su, showing that he remains attached to her faction after the original arrest.
