Wu Xiao is the Hidden Dragon Institute’s strongest seventh-year student during the Goldwater Ruins expedition. His rare Clairvoyant Beast bloodline lets him read physical condition and identify vulnerable points, making him the human group’s principal close-range assessor before he later helps manage Su Chen’s Third River Army. Biography

Scout and fighter in the Goldwater Ruins

Wu Xiao reaches the students’ mountain refuge after discovering three murdered classmates and uses his bloodline to determine that one Ferocious Race youth killed them. He then assesses a low-tier Demonic Beast, monitors the effect of Su Chen’s drug without alerting the target, and identifies an unexpected second beast as immature. These judgments let the student group plan around threats that ordinary observation cannot safely measure, and Wu Xiao survives the expedition as one of its stronger frontline members. (Chapters 298–300, 312, and 336)

The Third River Army

Wu Xiao later joins the former students who travel to Clear River City. He takes part in the river campaign, supervises less disciplined members on Jade Heart Island, and calls the formation specialists into action during the fleet battle. When older companions leave to graduate, Wu Xiao stays with Zhao Xin and Gan Haoli; the loss of Tang Ming’s group makes it difficult for him to manage the Third River Army alone and helps motivate Jiang Xishui’s more public involvement. Years later Wu Xiao again answers Su Chen’s summons in Ravager territory, but no final office or cultivation level is supplied. (Chapters 404–427 and 630)

Appearance and personality

The corpus provides no detailed physical description of Wu Xiao. His name appears once as “Wu Shao” in the Chapter 404 list of the same nine visiting Institute companions; subsequent scenes immediately identify the group member as Wu Xiao. (Chapters 404–405)

Wu Xiao is dependable, observant, and more practically minded than his playful conversations suggest. He restrains Jiang Hanfeng when an ill-timed comment could disrupt negotiations, accepts supervisory and command duties, and protests when Tang Ming dismisses the younger students’ combat value. Abilities and cultivation

Wu Xiao possesses the Demon King-level Clairvoyant Beast bloodline. It detects an opponent’s vital points, evaluates physical condition, distinguishes age or maturity, and gauges strength with exceptional accuracy. Its range is worse than Cloud Leopard’s long-distance detection, but it is described as peerless for assessing a potential opponent once located. It can also inspect corpses closely enough to infer a killer’s nature. (Chapters 298–300)

The bloodline gives Wu Xiao strong combat ability as well as information. He ranks twenty-first as the strongest seventh-year student and is later said to approach Tang Ming’s strength after two more years of training. The corpus does not name his attacks or show the bloodline’s exact energy cost, and his Chapter 630 return establishes continued activity without a specific realm advancement.
