Sun Jizu

Sun Jizu is a wealthy, bloodline-less Hidden Dragon Institute student and a member of Team Bright. He initially argues for personal strength above collective methods, but his own career repeatedly depends on cooperation—from fighting beside Yan Fuxing to answering Su Chen’s later call for allies. Biography

Team Bright and the Falling Eagle crisis

Sun Jizu meets Su Chen as one of Du Qing’s Team Bright companions. During a dispute over how weaker students should resist Team Soaring, he favors acquiring overwhelming personal power and dismisses reliance on formations; Su Chen challenges the idea that any cultivator can possess “absolute” strength. The Falling Eagle Mountain operation tests that belief. Sun Jizu saves Yan Fuxing with an Earth-Cracking Hoop, then fights beside him against Jiang Yang, combining their weapons and expendable Thunderfire Balls to overcome a bloodline cultivator whose defenses individually outclass them. The victory costs Yan Fuxing his life and leaves Sun Jizu badly injured. After completing his studies, Sun Jizu returns home in distinction and becomes a magistrate in Falling Water, taking pride in earning public office despite lacking a bloodline. Years later he is among the former classmates who answer Su Chen’s summons in Ravager territory. The corpus does not specify his duties after that arrival or his final cultivation level. Appearance and personality

Sun Jizu wears a white cavalry uniform, white animal-hide boots, and carries a fan, with two iron rings hanging from his waist. His short hair reaches his ears, and his eyes are narrow and curve upward at the corners. (Chapter 196)

He begins as proud of his resources and committed to individual power, but he is neither cowardly nor indifferent to companions. He rescues Yan Fuxing, coordinates attacks with him, and grieves openly after his death. His satisfaction at becoming a magistrate also shows how strongly he values recognition earned without inherited bloodline status. (Chapters 205, 219, and 341)

Abilities and cultivation

Sun Jizu is a bloodline-less Origin Qi Scholar whose exact realm is not stated in his early Institute scenes. His Earth-Cracking Hoops can fly out, hook a companion, return to his hand, smash stone, and constrict around an opponent; one hoop ultimately severs Jiang Yang’s head after Yan Fuxing creates an opening. Their demonstrated limit is raw defensive power: Jiang Yang can catch or deflect the hoops while protected by the Stoneheart Palm and Dense Earth Armor. (Chapter 219)

He supplements those weapons with Thunderfire Balls bought from Su Chen. Several detonated inside Jiang Yang’s clothing, damaging and distracting the stronger fighter but failing to penetrate his renewed stone defenses. Sun Jizu’s later official post and arrival in Ravager territory establish continued activity, not a specific advance; no bloodline, cultivation method, or later technique is supplied.
