Qi Weiyan

Qi Weiyan is a senior Hidden Dragon Institute student whose composure, persuasive manner, and ability to unite others earn her the second position in the Goldwater Ruins expedition. She helps turn a scattered group of students into an organized force, survives a desperate run for reinforcements, and remains part of Su Chen’s old circle years later. (Chapters 285–336, 629–630, and 744)

Biography

Selection and the expedition stronghold

During the Institute’s preparations for the Goldwater Ruins, Qi Weiyan receives student number two, behind He Yuandong and ahead of Su Chen. The choice is based less on schemes or raw force than on her intelligence, calm speech, resources, and unusual ability to make people listen and cooperate. Once inside the ruins, she and Zhu Anyi find Su Chen’s group and help plan a central stronghold with defenses, alarms, communications, and a retreat route. She then leaves to locate more students, allowing the headquarters network to grow instead of remaining a refuge for one small party. (Chapters 285 and 297–298)

That search places her in the path of two Ferocious Race Temple Warriors. After joining Gu Qingluo’s group and helping them escape an earlier pursuit, Qi Weiyan is badly wounded when the enemy returns with reinforcements. She nevertheless breaks through the siege and runs more than twenty kilometers to bring warning to the stronghold, overdrawing her Origin Energy and leaving her internal organs in critical condition. Her decision gives He Yuandong’s force a chance to rescue the trapped students, while Su Chen stays behind and performs emergency surgery that brings her back from the edge of death. Internal command and the northern mountain

While recovering, Qi Weiyan takes responsibility for the stronghold’s internal affairs. He Yuandong handles expeditions outside the base, while she coordinates teams, dispatches reinforcements, and mediates between strong personalities; both He Yuandong and Su Chen regard her “human touch” as better suited to that work than Su Chen’s analytical talents. Once recovered enough to move with the main force, she joins the leadership meeting that precedes the assault on the northern mountain and helps guide the students through its formations. Reunion with old classmates

Roughly ten years later, Qi Weiyan reunites with Pi Yuanhong and Yue Longsha, who greets her as “Second Senior Sister.” Qi responds with familiar teasing about marriage but also recognizes that Yue Longsha has been waiting for someone who will not return her feelings. She later appears among the old friends who visit Su Chen after news of the Boundless Sect spreads. The text says that some visitors join the sect, but it does not specify that Qi is among them, so her later affiliation and fate remain unknown. (Chapters 629–630 and 744)

Appearance and personality

The corpus supplies no fixed physical description, clothing, age, or distinctive feature for Qi Weiyan. It does consistently characterize her speech as unhurried, cultured, and refined. She is composed under severe pain, practical in planning, affectionate with old classmates, and willing to exhaust herself to save endangered companions. Qi Weiyan’s exact realm, bloodline, cultivation method, and later progression are not stated. Her demonstrated strengths combine leadership with one unexplained energy-handling feat.

Persuasion and coordination

Her “unique, innate ability” is described through its social effect: people pay attention when she speaks, and she can convince and unite them. The wording does not establish whether this is an Origin Skill or simply exceptional charisma, and no activation method, energy source, range, resistance, or supernatural compulsion is shown. In practice, it supports planning, recruitment, mediation, and reinforcement dispatch rather than direct combat. Its most consequential application is the stronghold system that lets the students gather safely and react as a coordinated body. No later upgrade or loss of this aptitude is recorded. Lightning absorption and physical limits

When a trapped formation blasts Wei Yang with lightning, Qi Weiyan catches him and draws the remaining electrical energy into her own body. The intervention leaves Wei Yang unharmed after his initial protection, while Qi cries out and visibly pales; ordinary Recovery Medicine restores most of her color. The text does not explain whether the absorption comes from a bloodline, technique, constitution, or item, nor whether she can redirect the energy instead of merely bearing it.
