Savahn

Savahn is Aina Morales's Royal Blue Academy friend, a survivor of Earth's first Zones, and later a fluid hand-to-hand fighter. Initially remembered as the abrasive friend who tried to protect Aina from Leonel's pursuit, she spends years confronting what friendship costs when protection is not returned. Her eventual reunions with Aina preserve their chosen-sister bond without erasing Savahn's loneliness, independence, or desire for a life not wholly organized around becoming stronger.

Biography

Fear, survival, and estrangement

Savahn is present when the Metamorphosis begins at Royal Blue Academy. Faced with transformed students, a growing spatial tear, and no workable alternative, the normally combative Savahn is openly nervous and enters Leonel Morales's defensive circle with Aina and Yuri without argument. She is then thrown into a Zone and barely survives, emerging into a world where their old social rules no longer guarantee safety. (Chapters 6 and 1167)

The decisive rupture comes when Savahn sees Aina kill Conrad by driving an arm through his chest. Savahn withdraws from both Aina and Yuri, unable to reconcile the friend she protected for four years with a killing that has become necessary in the new world. Unlike Leonel, she does not return to that relationship within days; it takes years and personal hardship for her to accept that killing is no longer an objective wrong in every circumstance. Before the Metamorphosis Savahn's protectiveness had often taken the form of hostility toward Leonel. Her renewed friendship is practical: she accompanies Aina, worries over her repeated departures, and helps her navigate a Sixth Dimensional society that treats her talent and marriage as political assets. That return does not erase Savahn's unequal place in the trio. When Yuri secretly asks Joel's group to rescue Aina from the Viola marriage, Yuri's fury nearly turns the meeting into a battle. The most distinctive effect makes parts of her body behave like illusions. A spear passes through her arm and leg while her palm still lands, allowing her to ignore the opponent's expected line and strike the same point twice. Leonel judges the Ability Index interesting and likely unique, comparing its individuality to Emna's path, but he does not name its law or explain whether Savahn becomes intangible, substitutes an image, or displaces the real limb.
