Biography
A candidate and a same-named governor
The Stargate Council's Luke is a dark-attribute wizard nominated by Meurich to compete with Saul, Corey, and another candidate for the Borderland's vacant Third Rank position. He dies during that contest, and his mentor Aurel later blames Saul as the final beneficiary. A later report names a former patient of Saul, also called Luke, as the loyal and capable acting lord of Rhine City. Because the candidate is explicitly dead before that appointment, the governor is treated as a separate same-named person rather than a continuation. (Chapters 642–646, 797–808)
Appearance and personality
Neither Luke receives a detailed physical description. The candidate is defined by dark affinity and Council sponsorship; the Rhine governor is described through flexible judgment and strong loyalty to Saul.
Abilities
The candidate specializes in dark-attribute magic and is strong enough to enter a Third Rank selection. The governor's exact rank and spells are not confirmed.
