Biography

From parasitic curse to shadow attendant

Heidi begins as the transformed twin sister whom Haywood carries like a curse on the back of his head. Their parents' body modifications leave the siblings unnaturally connected, and Heidi's face and voice make her seem monstrous even when she communicates intelligently. Under Gorsa, she eventually gains a separate black shadow body modeled on the form once used by Yura. By the time Saul returns, Heidi is calmer, rational, and trusted to receive visitors and guide them through Gorsa's tower, while she and Haywood remain Third-Level Apprentices. Appearance and personality

Heidi first appears as an ugly female face attached to Haywood's head. Later she is a graceful black female silhouette with a sharp, witch-like voice; separation makes her notably more polite and composed.

Abilities

Her curse existence allows consciousness sharing with Haywood, while her later shadow body moves and communicates independently under Gorsa's modifications.

Relationships

• Haywood: Heidi is Haywood's twin, initially parasitic on his body and later independently embodied while remaining beside him.
• Gorsa: Gorsa provides the environment and transformation that stabilize her shadow form.
