Biography
Royal survivor and defender
Alexandra, earlier known personally as Sander, survives the loss of half his royal blood because court magic makes his heart symbiotic with a Red Sea Tree. As Evernight's only remaining royal line, he is treated as a breeding resource and figurehead, yet he maintains complete trust in Saul during painful treatment. When the final black tide arrives, Alexandra assumes responsibility for logistics behind Mido, choosing to stand with his sister and the Red Sea Tree defense until victory or death. He survives that battle but dies before the epilogue's present. (Chapters 577, 812, 943, 1020, 1037)
Appearance and personality
Alexandra is a male ruler whose body is strengthened and modified around the surviving royal bloodline. Restrained and long-suffering in court, he shows trust, responsibility, and courage when finally given a meaningful defensive role.
