King Paleos

King Paleos is a low-profile Aeonian who conceals the strength of a supreme Daolord until the struggle for the final Voidsea Jadeseals. His faction becomes one of the principal coalitions opposing Ji Ning in Crimsonwave Temple.

Biography

Revealing his true strength

Paleos encounters Ning in the Waveshift Realm while a Voidsea Jadeseal is at stake. Outsiders regard him as merely a second-tier Daolord because he has kept a low profile, but Ning quickly realizes that the Aeonian king is far stronger. Paleos openly claims the sixth position among the era's Daolords, citing his killing of Daolord Skyaxe, and challenges second-ranked Darknorth to prove the difference between them. (Chapters 1126–1127)

Coalition battle

Paleos joins Fiendqueen Dustrain, Dreamlore, Owlblack, and other supreme Daolords in surrounding Ning. Their coordinated force is powerful enough to pressure figures such as Winesage, yet Ning's heartworld projection, secret arts, and sword attacks scatter them. Paleos remains a faction leader after the initial defeat: Winesage later considers surrendering a Voidsea Jadeseal in exchange for Paleos and eight followers swearing not to attack and instead helping him escape. (Chapters 1128–1132)

Appearance and personality

Paleos is a violet-robed devil with violet eyes and an initially cold smile. His public restraint gives way to aggressive confidence once his power is exposed. He is willing to coordinate with other factions when interests align, but his followers remain a distinct bloc whose oaths and support carry substantial strategic value. (Chapters 1126–1132)

Six-armed sawtooth combat

Paleos manifests six arms, each wielding a strange sawtoothed weapon. This configuration lets him attack through multiple simultaneous weapon lines in close combat. The corpus shows the form during his challenge to Ning but does not provide a separate name or detailed elemental principle for the technique. (Chapter 1127)

Supreme Daolord standing

His killing of Daolord Skyaxe and self-claimed sixth-place ranking establish him among the supreme Daolords. He is not strong enough to defeat Ning even with many peers assisting, which supplies a clear demonstrated limit. His additional importance comes from leading eight aligned Daolords, making his faction valuable in coalition warfare. (Chapters 1127–1132)
