Daolord Dreamlore is a formerly low-profile supreme Daolord whose fusion with an ancient bloodblade gives him the fastest demonstrated weapon strike among the Daolords of his era. His sudden defeats of the Radiant King and Palace Lord Dawnstar place him third in the revised rankings before his clash with Ji Ning exposes the limits of a single, overwhelmingly specialized attack.

Biography

A hidden expert enters the rankings

Dreamlore becomes famous during the competition in the Waveshift Realm, when news spreads that the previously obscure Daolord has defeated the Radiant King. The victory is shocking because the Radiant King is the fastest moving Daolord alive, but Dreamlore's advantage lies in a different measure of speed: once his bloodblade leaves his hands, the weapon itself moves faster than the Radiant King can answer. Dreamlore subsequently defeats Palace Lord Dawnstar as well and rises to third place, behind Winesage and Ji Ning in the later ranking. His path begins with an intensely personal choice. After Dreamlore becomes a Daolord, his master Emperor Blackcloud allows him to select one treasure. Dreamlore chooses an evil bloodblade recovered from the Terror Starsea and becomes so devoted to it that Blackcloud jokes the weapon matters more to him than his master. Inside Crimsonwave Temple, Dreamlore forms a four-person team with Daolords Tigrone, Skyshatter, and Owlblack. Their roles are complementary: Dreamlore supplies a lethal attack, Tigrone supplies exceptional defense, and the group distributes any gains evenly because none of them can safely retain a command talisman alone. When Ji Ning blocks their cultivation route, Dreamlore withdraws rather than waste effort, then returns with King Paleos's larger faction to overwhelm the bottleneck by numbers. Dreamlore personally leads the charge against Ning at the seven-colored chains. His two-handed bloodblade produces a beautiful, intoxicating streak of bloody light moving faster than Ning's own sword strikes. Unlike earlier opponents, however, Ning can defend with six Northbow swords at once and convert his offensive Blood Drop stance into the defensive Soleheart stance without an opening. The combined defense crushes Dreamlore's first attack and knocks him back. Dreamlore refuses the result and attacks again, only for Ning's six swords to form a rotating defense and defeat the strike a second time. Ning explains the mechanical problem plainly: Dreamlore's one blade may be faster, but it cannot overcome six near-comparable weapons backed by flawless defense. (Chapter 1129)

The defeat shakes Dreamlore because Dawnstar and the Radiant King survived his technique only in poor condition, whereas Ning overwhelms it head-on. He nevertheless continues contesting the temple. Ning identifies him as one of the four opponents too dangerous to let through, forcing Dreamlore's group to divert toward Daolord Feich. During the ensuing year-long melee, Dreamlore kills two weaker supreme Daolords with the bloodblade. He ultimately withdraws after Ning and Winesage cooperate, accepting that the combined pair cannot be profitably opposed. (Chapters 1130–1133)

Appearance and personality

Dreamlore has a youthful face; the corpus gives no fuller recurring physical description. In battle, his expression shifts from cold malice to berserk disbelief when his signature attack fails. His defining trait is devotion. He is not merely an owner of the bloodblade: he becomes entranced by the beauty of its strike while executing it, and his Dao is described as genuinely merging with the weapon.

Outside that fixation, he is pragmatic enough to build a balanced team, divide treasure by agreement, and retreat when circumstances turn hopeless. Other cultivators initially regard him as low-key and not notably vile, distinguishing his dangerous combat style from the openly demonic reputation of figures such as Sectlord Timedream.

Supreme Daolord power

Dreamlore is one of the supreme Samsara Daolords at the peak of the fourth step. His victories move him into the top three of his generation, and Ning treats him as one of the most dangerous combatants in Crimsonwave Temple. Bloodblade strike

Dreamlore wields a massive two-handed bloodblade whose released attack appears as a dazzling streak of bloody light. Its critical property is weapon speed rather than movement speed: the Radiant King can move faster than other Daolords, yet cannot handle a weapon that reaches him still faster. Dreamlore's strike exceeds Ning's individual sword speed even after Ning's substantial improvements and travels well beyond one hundred times the speed of light. The technique has a demonstrated limitation. Dreamlore commands only one bloodblade. Ning uses six swords, each close enough in speed to intercept it, and joins their forces through a sophisticated defensive stance. Dreamlore is capable of coordinating elite Daolords rather than relying only on duels.
