Immortal Venomfreak is the horned founding ancestor of the Youngflame clan, a Celestial Immortal famous since Pangu's World for innumerable clones and supreme insect-rearing arts. His conflict with Ji Ning exposes the strengths and limits of that survival style: individual bodies and insects can be destroyed, but eradicating Venomfreak himself would require finding every clone.

Biography

Ancient founder of the Youngflame clan

Venomfreak survives from the era of Pangu's World into the Grand Xia age and establishes the Youngflame clan. His personal combat power is not the source of his reputation. He distributes himself across many bodies and raises venomous insectoid aberrations, making retaliation extraordinarily difficult. By the time Ning's feud with the clan escalates, even True Immortals regard Venomfreak as a dangerous nuisance whose complete death would probably require a Daofather to locate and destroy every clone. (Chapter 450)

When Ning penetrates the clan's sealed world, the ancestor fights through one such body. Venomfreak coordinates with other Celestial Immortals to pin Ning down so three insectoid aberrations can attack; the winged rhinoceros alone matches Ning's full physical force. Ning's superior movement prevents the insects from functioning as independent pursuers, so Venomfreak needs allies and sealing treasures to restrict him. The battle ends with Ning allowing a copper pillar to rise beyond recovery, provoking Venomfreak to swear that he will kill Ning and everyone connected to him. (Chapters 450–455)

Venomfreak turns Ning's karmic sinflames into an attempted exile. Using the Worldhold Pagoda, he teleports the burning Ning out of Grand Xia and into the Nihilum Zone of the Primordial Ruinworld. The location's voidwaves are so strong that only True God- or Daofather-level power should be able to escape against them. Ning nevertheless returns, leaving the ancestor's most elaborate early solution unsuccessful. (Chapters 455 and 471–485)

Abandoning the Xia Emperor

After Ning later helps overturn a battle involving eighteen Celestial Immortals, the Seamless Gate sends Venomfreak a recording. He immediately recognizes that the Void-level enemy is growing too fast. If Ning gains sufficient authority in the Crimsonbright League, even scattered clones may no longer preserve Venomfreak, and the Youngflame clan will be destroyed after him. His first response is evacuation: all available mortals are moved into the Worldhold Pagoda so the clan can abandon its fief rather than become a stationary target. (Chapter 494)

Venomfreak then asks the Xia Emperor to mediate a mutual oath with Ning. The emperor refuses because reconciliation cannot erase the existing enmity and because Ning is now more valuable than the Youngflame founder. Realizing that neutrality would leave him exposed to both factions, Venomfreak joins Gatemaster Azurefox and the Seamless Gate. The decision is survival-driven rather than ideological. It trades the Xia Emperor's protection for an organization already committed to killing Ning and gives Venomfreak an important place through his unusual logistics and disposable bodies. (Chapter 494)

Attack on Brightheart Island

At the Seamless Gate's council, Venomfreak identifies how to weaponize Ning's upcoming Celestial Tribulation. Karmic sinflames will strengthen the wind, fire, thunder, and especially demonheart stages. Because Ning's Dao-heart is built around devotion to family and friends, Venomfreak proposes killing those loved ones just before the tribulation. Grief and rage may turn the same loyalty that normally strengthens Ning into the emotional instability that causes failure. Azurefox forbids killing Yu Wei to avoid drawing Lu Dongbin into the war, but approves an assault on other members of Ning's household. (Chapters 497–498)

Venomfreak contributes six ancient aberrations, a clone, detailed intelligence on Brightheart Island, and the Greater Teleport that delivers the strike team directly to Serpentwing Lake. Old Man Yuan intervenes. His gardening shears kill the entire attacking detachment, including Venomfreak's present body, before they can execute the plan. The loss does not kill Venomfreak permanently because the deployed body is only one clone; from the Fifth World he watches the destruction and complains about Yuan's lack of mercy. (Chapters 499–501)

Venomfreak remains with the Seamless Gate through the opening Grand Xia campaign. He watches Ning overturn the destruction of the Loachwater Heaven Punisher and understands that Darknorth has become a strategic variable for the whole war, not merely a private clan enemy. His last confirmed appearance leaves him alive, grimly satisfied that the Seamless Gate now has even more reason than he does to eliminate Ning. (Chapters 519–520)

Appearance and personality

Venomfreak is an ugly, horned man in golden robes with sinister eyes. His smiles are variously cold, ingratiating, or savage depending on the audience. The appearance matches a manner built around intimidation and concealed calculation rather than honorable presentation. (Chapters 450–451, 494, and 497–520)

He is cautious at a strategic level and vicious at a personal one. Venomfreak can evacuate an entire clan rather than defend an untenable homeland, humble himself before new allies, and freely spend disposable clones. At the same time, he threatens families, proposes using grief as a tribulation weapon, and regards loyalty as a weakness he would never share. His madness and malice are real, but so is his ability to plan around survival. (Chapters 451, 494, and 497–501)

Abilities and cultivation

Distributed clones

Venomfreak has so many clones spread across the Three Realms that he effectively has no single privileged true body. Each body possesses only ordinary Celestial Immortal combat strength, but destroying one does little lasting harm. If any clone survives, he can recover and rebuild; permanent death requires eradicating them all. This grants extraordinary survival and makes his promises to risk his “life” cheap, but it does not let one clone overpower a stronger opponent. (Chapters 450 and 497–501)

Insectoid aberration cultivation

His greatest technical art is breeding and controlling venomous insectoid aberrations. Three of his mature creatures each reach supreme Celestial Immortal combat power and fight without fear of death; he later offers six children nurtured since the Primordial Era. The insects can surround, occupy, and physically pressure an enemy while Venomfreak or an ally seals the battlefield. Their limitation is mobility and command context: against Ning, even a rhinoceros matching his raw force cannot catch him unless another expert first restricts his movement. Killed aberrations also take immense time to replace. (Chapters 450, 453, and 497)

Teleportation and spatial logistics

Venomfreak can use Greater Teleportation accurately within Grand Xia and knows Serpentwing Lake well enough to arrive directly at Brightheart Island. He can carry an entire assault team inside a holding treasure, turning his movement into strategic infiltration. The Worldhold Pagoda extends this specialty by moving Ning across worlds into the Nihilum Zone and by sheltering the Youngflame clan's mortal population. (Chapters 455, 471, 494, and 499)

Intelligence and psychological planning

He studies opponents' relationships, terrain, karmic burdens, and institutional protection. His tribulation plan works by connecting a known rule—sinflames intensify the demonheart tribulation—to Ning's emotional commitments. This is not mind control or divination; it depends on timing murders so the resulting rage destabilizes Ning. The plan fails because Old Man Yuan destroys the attackers before they reach the targets. (Chapters 494 and 497–501)

Direct combat limits

Venomfreak's own body is only an ordinary combatant by the standards of famous Celestial Immortals. He relies on insects, allied restraint, clones, and escape rather than sword-to-sword superiority. Close-combat figures such as Sword Immortal Unity are explicitly more dangerous in a direct clash. A vastly stronger power such as Old Man Yuan can kill an exposed clone before any survival trick matters. (Chapters 450–473 and 500)

Relationships

  • Ji Ning: Their feud drives Venomfreak from Grand Xia to the Seamless Gate. Venomfreak uses insects, exile, and an attempted attack on Ning's household, while Ning's growth eventually threatens even the clone network. (Chapters 450–520)
  • Youngflame clan: Venomfreak founded the clan and remains its ultimate authority. His attachment is practical but real enough that he evacuates its population when fixed territory becomes dangerous. (Chapters 450 and 494)
  • Gatemaster Azurefox: Azurefox accepts him into the Seamless Gate and adopts his tribulation strategy while limiting targets that would provoke Lu Dongbin. (Chapters 494 and 497–501)
