Daolord Thousand Waves is one of the Radiant Palace's two palace lords and a senior observer of the Astral Islands and Silvercloud World trials. He scouts exceptional World-level cultivators and argues for bringing them into his palace.
Biography
Competing for Bertulu
Thousand Waves watches the Astral Islands from the ancient powers' viewing area. Recognizing Bertulu's rare potential, he promises personal discipleship and guidance, competing with the Heartforce Palace for the young cultivator. He reveals that he has personally seen Bertulu's true form and explains that the genius has fought every island duel in human shape, concealing the power that might already let him kill a First-Step Daolord. Judging Darknorth
He later supports allowing talented members of the Twelve Palaces to compete for the alternate-universe expedition. During the Silvercloud World trial, Thousand Waves identifies Ning's [Heartsword] art, tracks his progress beyond the six-hundredth level, and revises his estimate as the seemingly ordinary sword arts keep succeeding. When Ning takes a decisive step forward, Thousand Waves agrees that Darknorth is guaranteed to become a supreme member of the Twelve Palaces. (Chapters 911 and 917–925)
