Heartlord Solewind
Heartlord Solewind is the Heartforce Palace's foremost World-level member and one of the five geniuses sent into an alternate universe by Hegemon Brightshore. He combines silent mental attacks with formation expertise, careful diplomacy, and unusually precise control over a projected heartworld.
Biography
Recognition in the Heartforce Palace
Solewind is the Heartforce Palace's only World-level cultivator acknowledged by its ancient pagodas. Unlike cultivators who use heartforce as support for another Dao, he devotes his path entirely to heartforce. In the Silvercloud World he reaches the 692nd step and places third among the Twelve Palaces' competitors, earning a place in Hegemon Brightshore's expedition alongside Ji Ning, Prince Greatjoy, and Waterlord Firesurge. (Chapters 920–927)
When the group meets, Solewind immediately recognizes Ning's rapid progress and offers a warm, unforced friendship. He explains that the Heartforce Palace's tiny membership causes its cultivators to treat one another as siblings. During the journey, that same social ability makes him the group's usual speaker: he questions locals without provoking them, induces trust when necessary, and extracts or erases memories with controlled heartforce. (Chapters 927–935)
The Sacred Immortal Realm
The expedition discovers that the so-called Sacred Immortal Realm is a prison system maintained through torture. Solewind helps identify the governing formations and, when the resident Daolord attacks, drops his heartworld projection across the prison. The projection crushes cells and restraints while leaving the imprisoned cultivators unharmed, demonstrating control fine enough to separate structures from millions of nearby lives. After the enemy dies, Solewind binds the ownerless golems and frees the captives. (Chapters 939–942)
Inside the Daolord's estate, Solewind studies sealed doors and marks the critical runes each companion should attack. This turns an otherwise overwhelming brute-force problem into a coordinated breach. A stronger guardian and a second Daolord then place the five in mortal danger. When the Daolord demands permanent slavery, Solewind appears to choose life, but the answer buys the instant needed to shatter a protective Dao-seal. Its heartforce attack kills the Daolord before he can react. Solewind then dismantles the formation core by removing twelve precise stones, allowing the group to escape and rescuing the remaining inhabitants on the way out. (Chapters 943–947)
The Genesis Lands
At the primessence chains, Solewind volunteers to test the route because its principal danger is mental influence. He controls 391 firebird treasures against increasingly numerous wraiths and crosses with a calm that astonishes previous challengers. The pressure eventually forces him into close combat, but he remains the first of the group to enter the inner reaches; only Ning follows. (Chapters 953–956)
There Solewind recognizes the corpse of an Eternal Emperor who reached eternity through heartforce, something no member of his palace has ever achieved. Knowing the inheritance trials may be lethal, he accepts them because they offer a path toward the otherwise unprecedented goal of an Eternal Emperor Heartforce Cultivator. He spends roughly six thousand years in life-and-death trials, survives, and emerges with a great fortune. When Ning remains missing, Solewind treats the uncertainty seriously, waits with the others, and helps return the expedition and Ning's companions to the Brightshore Kingdom. (Chapters 957–978)
Appearance and personality
Solewind appears as a skinny, bald youth in loose fiery-red robes. Strange crimson divine tattoos cover his face and exert a subtle influence on observers. His gentle smile and voice make others feel trust without obvious coercion, but he is not merely charming: companions repeatedly describe him as logical, trustworthy, and fair when dividing danger or treasure. He is calm under mental pressure, cautious around unknown Daolords, and willing to risk his life for an inheritance with real relevance to his path. (Chapters 920, 927, 933–947, and 953–978)
Abilities and cultivation
Heartworld projection
Solewind projects an internal heartworld into reality as an illusory domain. It descends without travel time, covers wide areas, suppresses enemies and ownerless constructs, and doubles as a detection perimeter that external godsense or heartforce cannot cross unnoticed. Its most important quality is control: in the Sacred Immortal Realm he destroys cells and restraints while sparing the people inside them. In direct battle, he manifests the projection as blazing mountains, lava, and firebirds that impose the weight of an entire world on a target. (Chapters 941–944)
Mental influence and killing
His heartforce can make strangers trust him, inspect memories, remove recollection of an encounter, and attack the mind directly. Against two fleeing elite World Gods already driven to terror by the group, he pushes them into despair and suicide with a glance. The episode also establishes a limit: their destabilized state makes the attack easier, so it should not be treated as unconditional control over any opponent. (Chapters 930 and 933–935)
Mental defense and soul cultivation
As a true Heartforce Cultivator, Solewind has techniques that strengthen and protect his soul. He resists the primessence chains' increasingly severe influence far better than ordinary World-level geniuses and warns that their mental pressure is more dangerous than the attacking wraiths. His soul is still not automatically superior to every unusual cultivator—Ning's azureflower energy gives Ning a stronger soul—but Solewind's specialized defenses make him exceptionally resistant to illusion and compulsion. (Chapters 953–955 and 988)
Firebird treasures and close combat
Solewind is highly skilled at remotely controlling magic treasures. On the primessence chains, 391 fiery lotuses transform into firebirds that destroy wraiths at range. Against a powerful guardian golem, he manifests eighteen arms and eighteen blazing firebirds through his heartworld projection, concentrating them into a coordinated assault. The golem's superior raw power destroys the manifestation, showing that precise heartforce control does not erase a large physical power gap. (Chapters 944 and 953)
Formation expertise
Solewind has the highest formation skill in the five-person expedition. He senses continent-scale formations, identifies their effects, locates critical runes inside layered seals, and assigns attacks according to each ally's strength. By attacking key nodes rather than the whole structure, the group breaks barriers hundreds of times more efficiently. He later disables a formation core by safely removing selected power stones instead of detonating it. (Chapters 934–947)
Heartforce Palace Dao-seals
The Heartforce Palace gives Solewind two life-saving seals, each containing roughly thirty percent of the Palace Lord's maximum attack. One instantly kills a Daolord empowered by a formation that could threaten Verge-level Daolords. These seals reflect the palace's investment in its few members; their power belongs to the Palace Lord and is not a measure of Solewind's ordinary World-level attacks. (Chapter 946)
