Celestial Immortal Infatuation

Celestial Immortal Infatuation is an ancient Youngflame patriarch and the strongest member of the clan's initial Celestial Immortal strike team against Ji Ning. He commands coordinated ambushes, wields a miniature frozen world, and remains the group's most cautious battlefield judge.

Biography

Stillwater ambush

After returning from beyond the Grand Xia world, Infatuation volunteers to lead Arcanum, Deadwood, and Goldclock against Ning while leaving Sunfish to guard the clan tower. The four infiltrate Stillwater Commandery and combine specialized roles: Infatuation supplies overwhelming frontal pressure, Deadwood binds, Goldclock suppresses, and Arcanum supports. Infatuation's frozen-world strikes batter Ning repeatedly, but Hunchmont and Diancai arrive before Goldclock can seal him. Infatuation recognizes the lost timing window and orders an immediate retreat. (Chapters 433–437)

Oldjade Mountain battle

Infatuation later joins the Youngflame Ancestor and the clan's remaining Celestial Immortals at Oldjade Mountain. Hundreds of freed Fiendgods badly injure the eight patriarchs, reducing their usable power, yet they regroup in the Eight Trigrams Roving Dragon Formation to oppose Ning. Infatuation warns that Ning's sword skill makes him far more dangerous than an ordinary Fiendgod and recommends that the Ancestor carry the offense. The formation still collapses, validating his caution. (Chapters 446–454)

Judgment of Ning

When karmic sinflames descend, Infatuation compares Ning's endurance to Old Demon Windraiser's and recognizes that Ning possesses an extraordinary Dao-heart. His assessment is not reconciliation—the Youngflame feud remains—but it shows that he updates his judgment when evidence contradicts the clan's expectations. He survives the fighting and remains alive at his latest direct scene. (Chapters 455–461)

Appearance and personality

Infatuation is an ancient man with hidden grief in his eyes. In battle he is cold, forceful, and willing to threaten annihilation, yet he is less reckless than several peers. He calculates when an ambush no longer has enough time, warns injured allies against underestimating Ning, and can acknowledge an enemy's exceptional mental strength. (Chapters 433–437 and 453–455)

Abilities and cultivation

Miniature frozen world

Thousands of cold light-spheres manifest around Infatuation, their flowing runes linking into a formation that transforms a three-thousand-meter region into frozen terrain. More than half the ice can gather into a handleless executioner's blade whose cold also evokes pain and fear before impact. The strike can destroy Heaven-ranked treasures and repeatedly batter Ning, but cannot damage his Eight-Nine Arcane body enough to kill him. (Chapters 436–437)

Supreme Celestial Immortal power

Infatuation belongs to the supreme tier of Celestial Immortals and is the strongest of the four-person assassination group. His frontal attacks are powerful enough to dominate Ning before Ning's later breakthroughs. Serious Jindan injuries at Oldjade Mountain reduce him to roughly half strength, demonstrating that cultivation rank does not eliminate damage-driven output limits. (Chapters 433–440 and 453)

Group formations

He helps anchor the Five Elements Mountainhold Formation and later the Eight Trigrams Roving Dragon Formation. The former emphasizes coordinated suppression; the latter creates a golden roving dragon with balanced attack and defense. These formations multiply shared power but depend on every point remaining stable. Ning's six enormous sword-fingers overwhelm the weakened Eight Trigrams formation and kill nearby members, causing it to collapse. (Chapters 446–453)

Battlefield command

Infatuation assigns roles, selects withdrawal timing, and identifies the safest formation for injured allies. This judgment is valuable because the clan's techniques require synchronized action, but command cannot compensate for false intelligence or a sudden gap in individual power. Both major clashes fail after Ning reveals defenses or sword strength the Youngflame clan did not anticipate. (Chapters 433–437 and 453–455)
