Celestial Immortal Goldclock — Desolate Era

Celestial Immortal Goldclock is a Youngflame clan patriarch whose top-grade Pure Yang greatclock raises his combat power to the level of stronger Dao comprehenders. He participates in two attempts to capture Ji Ning before losing both his life and signature treasure at Oldjade.

Biography

Ambush at Mu Northson's refuge

Goldclock joins Celestial Immortal Infatuation, Patriarch Arcanum, and Patriarch Deadwood in a four-Immortal ambush. The team uses Mu Northson as bait, then assigns Deadwood to bind Ning while Goldclock attempts to batter and draw him into the divine greatclock. The clock's blows would kill an ordinary Void-level Fiendgod or threaten another Celestial Immortal, but Ning's Eight-Nine Arcane Art absorbs them and even lets him borrow their momentum for movement. (Chapters 433–437)

Goldclock assumes a powerful protective treasure must be running out of energy, while Infatuation correctly infers that Ning's body itself has been transformed by the Eight-Nine Arcane Art. Their combined suppression nearly succeeds before Immortal Diancai and Hunchmont arrive. The four retreat, frustrated that a few more moments might have sealed Ning inside the clock. Battle at Oldjade

Half a month later, Goldclock is one of five operators in the Shaoyin Fiendtamer Formation at the Youngflame headquarters. Their black chains and five-colored defensive mountain are intended to immobilize Ning so the greatclock can finish the capture. Ning's rapid breakthroughs let him repel the formation, forcing Goldclock to admit that the opponent who had been below his level now exceeds him. (Chapters 446–448)

The fight expands after Ning begins uprooting the Infinity Furnace's immense copper pillar. Goldclock tries both the clock's attractive force and direct downward strikes, but Ning ignores the attacks while maintaining his grip. When the Youngflame founder arrives, Goldclock joins the larger Eight Trigrams Roving Dragon Formation and remains confident that its linked power can contain Ning despite injuries from the wider battle. That confidence ends when Ning's sword-fingers pierce the formation. The first strike knocks away the divine greatclock; the second reduces Goldclock to ash. Ning immediately takes the ownerless treasure and later gives it to Yu Wei, who uses its suppression function during Stillwater City's defense. (Chapters 453, 455, 471, and 490)

Appearance and personality

Goldclock is first identified as the man carrying a large clock. He is forceful and impatient, worrying about the clan's loss of face when a careful retreat would be safer. His confidence rests heavily on a treasure that has defeated conventional defenses; once Ning repeatedly violates that expectation, Goldclock grows frantic but continues accepting formation plans that promise another chance to suppress him. Abilities and cultivation

Celestial Immortal foundation

Goldclock is a strong Celestial Immortal and Ki Refiner. His intrinsic Dao insight is roughly comparable to Ning's before the Oldjade breakthroughs and below Deadwood's, but his signature treasure makes his practical combat power comparable to Deadwood. Because he is a Ki Refiner, allowing Ning's transformed body to reach him directly is fatal. (Chapters 433, 439, 448, and 453)

Top-grade Pure Yang divine greatclock

The divine greatclock produces crushing waves of force and an attractive suppression field. Goldclock can smash a target with it, expand it around a victim, or pull the victim into its independent internal dimension. Once sealed inside, the target is isolated and unable to escape by ordinary means. The treasure supplies tremendous raw power but depends on the user's energy and control: Ning's first sword-finger knocks it away, leaving Goldclock exposed to the next. Formation participation

Goldclock supplies Celestial Immortal energy to the Shaoyin Fiendtamer Formation and later the Eight Trigrams Roving Dragon Formation. The first combines flexible chains with a defensive mountain; the second links eight wounded Immortals around the Youngflame founder. Both are designed to create the immobilized target his clock needs. They fail when Ning's attack power exceeds the shared defenses and reaches the operators inside. (Chapters 446–448 and 451–453)

Ji Ning: Target of both ambushes and eventual killer. Ning's body first invalidates the clock's crushing force, then his improved sword-fingers take Goldclock's life and treasure. (Chapters 434–453)
