Buddha Jueming is an ancient Buddhist cultivator who survives Undermoon Lake, develops a body and palm art capable of confronting the Three Realms' strongest enemies, and sacrifices himself during Old Man Yuan's betrayal. Ji Ning restores him to life at the end of the supplied corpus.

Biography

Survivor of Undermoon Lake

Jueming enters Undermoon Lake as an Empyrean God during the Primordial Era, when the frozen prison has already swallowed generations of powerful challengers. He becomes the only person known to escape before Ji Ning. The achievement costs him an immense span of time and leaves him bound by a lifeblood oath that prevents him from exposing the lake's secrets, even when other major powers want an explanation. He returns with three kinds of treasures, including twelve Iceheart Leaves, but his silence is not selfish concealment: the oath makes disclosure impossible. This later gives Ning's own journey important context. The Endwar

By the Endwar, Jueming has become an Elder God and Daofather whose combat strength belongs among the Nuwa Alliance's elite overlords. He steps into the most dangerous fighting rather than remaining a symbolic Buddhist leader. His transformed palms and resilient divine body allow him to engage Saber and then join Ji Ning and Suiren against Lord Demonheart, absorbing attacks that would destroy less durable allies. This period reveals the result of his long cultivation. Jueming has combined Buddhist secret arts learned from Tathagata with the Nine Elements Annihilation, producing a palm art whose raw explosive force surpasses Tathagata's own. After the main Seamless threat collapses, Old Man Yuan and his allies betray the victors. Jueming becomes one of seven elite Elder Gods who attack Old Man Yuan. When Old Man Yuan directs three devastating palm blows at him, Jueming recognizes that he cannot survive conventionally and detonates himself, forcing the enemy to expend divine power and creating an opening for his allies. His final regret is that he will not reach Vastheaven Palace, connecting his sacrifice to ambitions that extend beyond the Three Realms. (Chapters 747–752)

The self-detonation kills him; it is not a temporary disappearance or ambiguous battlefield loss. Much later, after Ji Ning reaches the summit of cultivation, Ning reverses that ending and revives Jueming together with other dead companions and defenders of the Three Realms. Abilities and cultivation

Jueming's final pre-death cultivation combines an Elder God's divine body with Daofather-level insight and Buddhist secret arts. The narrative ranks him as an elite overlord-level combatant.
