Archon Silksnow — Desolate Era

Archon Silksnow is the most notoriously violent of the eight lords of the Sacred Cities. His pursuit of a damaged realmship begins a feud with Ji Ning that escalates from attempted robbery to a Jadefire Realm deathtrap and, after Silksnow's suicide, a final plan to turn the wider Endless Territories against Ning.

Biography

Rise through slaughter

Silksnow is said to have been born during an apocalypse, crawling as an infant from his dead mother's torn-open body beneath a rain of blood. Savage from childhood and extraordinarily talented, he follows a path of continuous slaughter, succeeds in the Daomerge, and becomes the third-ranked of the eight Archons. Violent cultivators and several powerful Emperors gather beneath him. His reputation is reinforced when a dispute at the Palace of Immortals ends with him pursuing and killing twelve Eternal Emperors after the gathering. (Chapters 1181–1182)

Pursuit of the realmship fragment

Silksnow's damaged realmship resonates with a fragment held by Ning and Ninedust. He tears through spacetime in pursuit, seals off a ten-billion-kilometer region, and attacks almost immediately. When they offer the fragment, he also demands nearly all their treasures and unrestricted access to their memories so he can find the Sithe ruins they visited. Their refusal produces a one-sided battle in which Silksnow's six sabers overwhelm Ninedust and force Ning entirely onto defense. (Chapters 1181–1184)

Ning's advance in the Heartsword art lets him endure, but Silksnow uses the shifting Icesnow saber-arts to break the rhythm of Ning's defense and ultimately kills his body. Hegemon Brightshore arrives before Silksnow can seize the remaining treasures and forces him away. Silksnow's deeper concern is now Ning himself. A living Ning may soon threaten Silksnow's accumulated organization even if he later fails the Daomerge, while a successful Daomerge would be worse. The realmship is valuable, but eliminating that future enemy becomes the core motive. (Chapters 1184–1186)

Retreat from direct conflict

Ning returns stronger and begins killing Emperors connected to Silksnow. Once Silksnow sees that even old subordinates with invulnerable forms can die quickly, he stops presenting himself as an untouchable Archon. He abandons his Sacred City, hides allied Emperors behind layered escape arrangements, and seeks a battlefield where Ning's power can be turned against him. The change is tactical rather than repentant: he is willing to sacrifice prestige and territory in order to prepare a more lethal trap. (Chapters 1192–1209)

Ninedust as bait

Silksnow targets Ninedust, knowing Ning's loyalty will draw him into danger. He chases Ninedust into the Jadefire Realm and deliberately lets the information spread. Ning enters despite recognizing the trap. Inside the ancient Sithe complex, Silksnow prepares several layers: an ambush backed by his avatar, explosive mechanisms, and a planned flight through aerial hazards inside the realmship. Ning's Unfettered Dreamlands threatens to immobilize Silksnow long enough for Whitethaw to seize him, forcing the Archon to detonate the first trap earlier than intended. (Chapters 1215–1220)

The explosion fails, and Whitethaw breaks through later mechanisms while the realmship can only endure them passively. A Sithe binding field eventually freezes Silksnow, his sabers, and the realmship in midair. He initially claims he can simply outlive a Daolord inside the permanent trap, but Whitethaw's strength and Ning's heartforce make capture inevitable. Silksnow concedes defeat, then collapses his own soul and truesoul before they can imprison him. (Chapters 1219–1221)

Final revenge

Silksnow plans for defeat as carefully as for victory. His dying avatar tells Emperor Bloodcloud to carry out their arrangement: reveal that Ning now possesses the realmship. The information spreads across the Sixteen Realmverses Alliance and attracts Hegemons who would otherwise have no reason to attack Ning. Silksnow therefore turns his most valuable possession into a posthumous weapon, extending the feud after his own truesoul is gone. (Chapters 1221–1226)

Appearance and personality

Silksnow is a skinny man in long white robes, with white hair, long drooping white eyebrows, and oily green eyes that radiate cold menace. He is male despite the feminine sound of his title. His bloodthirst is explicit, but his behavior is not mindless: he identifies future threats, builds layered contingencies, and relinquishes public status when concealment offers better odds. Pride still narrows his choices. He demands memories and total submission when a limited exchange could have secured the realmship fragment, creating an enemy who ultimately drives him to suicide. Abilities and cultivation

Archon-level Saber Dao

Silksnow succeeds in the Daomerge through the Dao of the Saber and reaches Archon power. His saber-intent carries such coldness that it makes a target's truesoul shiver, while his strikes can freeze spacetime and sever karma. He manifests six arms with a lifeblood saber in each hand and favors complete offense, attacking at full strength even against Daolords. His insight and matured lifeblood weapons place him far above an ordinary Eternal Emperor. (Chapters 1182–1184)

Icesnow saber-arts

The Icesnow saber-arts combine two opposed modes. Three sabers deliver savage, overbearing force; the other three move softly and unpredictably like falling snow. The first mode is powerful but easier to read, while the second sacrifices raw force to break defensive timing and angles. Used together, they merge hard and soft principles and force even Ning's airtight sword defense into mistakes. (Chapter 1184)

Saber-ki domain

Silksnow can release countless streams of saber-ki to form a surrounding world of cutting energy. The domain pressures enemies across an area and contests other projected domains, but Ning's combined heartworld projection and secret arts can slightly suppress it. Silksnow consequently relies on direct six-saber combat for the decisive exchange. (Chapter 1184)

Snow Dao and invulnerable form

After becoming an Emperor through Saber, Silksnow spends countless years elevating the Dao of Snow to Archon level. It supplies the defensive quality his offense-oriented Saber Dao lacks. When Hegemon Brightshore shatters him, his body becomes countless pieces of snow and reforms at a distance. This invulnerable snowform makes him difficult, not impossible, for a Hegemon to kill; a Hegemon willing to spend sufficient power and treasure can still overcome it. (Chapters 1185–1189)

Illusion vulnerability

Silksnow's true body can awaken rapidly from Ning's illusions, but even a heartbeat of delay is dangerous when Whitethaw is close enough to seize him. That vulnerability shapes the Jadefire battle: he refuses close combat after experiencing Unfettered Dreamlands, detonates a prepared trap early, and relies on distance and the realmship thereafter. Ning's heartforce remains effective through the Sithe binding field and prevents a last transformation into snowform. (Chapters 1219–1221)

Treasures and prepared mechanisms

His accumulated wealth includes spacetime-sealing treasures, one-use weapons strong enough to erase planets and formations, mature lifeblood sabers, and the damaged realmship. In Jadefire he also uses preexisting Sithe traps. These greatly expand his options but remain external tools: the realmship has superb speed and durability but no comparable offensive function, and its inability to break mechanisms directly contributes to his capture. Ji Ning: Silksnow attempts to rob and kill Ning, later uses Ninedust to lure him into Jadefire, and finally makes the realmship public as a posthumous attempt to have other powers kill him. (Chapters 1181–1226)
