Emperor Bloodcloud
Emperor Bloodcloud is an ancient Archon-class Eternal Emperor who supports Archon Silksnow from the shadows. Equal to Silksnow in raw standing but less decisive and ruthless, he survives their defeat by Ji Ning and executes Silksnow's final revenge by publicizing Darknorth's possession of a realmship across the Sixteen Realmverses Alliance.
Biography
The power behind Silksnow Fiend Palace
Bloodcloud first appears among the Emperors gathered to confront Ji Ning at Silksnow Fiend Palace. Archon Silksnow identifies the black-robed elder as the only ally present who might defeat Darknorth head-on and gives him authority to decide their response. Bloodcloud is confident only after being assured that Ning lacks an invulnerable form. Once he sees Darknorth's actual power, that confidence disappears. He warns Silksnow that Ning is stronger than either of them and initially resists the humiliation and cost of using a many-Emperor formation against one Daolord. Silksnow persuades him that failure would mean hiding for the rest of Ning's life. (Chapters 1196–1197)
Bloodcloud and Silksnow lead more than twenty Emperors in forming the Seven Killers of the Blood Disk. Ning's heartforce and illusions destroy or incapacitate most participants, collapsing the formation. Bloodcloud responds by turning into a sea of blood to cover Silksnow against Ning's assassination art, but Darknorth tears through the bloody waves and overwhelms Silksnow. Bloodcloud is the first of the pair to accept that ordinary combat cannot succeed. (Chapters 1197–1198)
Defeat by Darknorth
Rather than flee immediately, Bloodcloud agrees to expend a final Hegemonic attack-treasure. His curved object manifests a luminous crescent moon that reaches Ning before Silksnow's gray longspear. The two attacks strike almost together and knock Ning away, temporarily releasing his suppression of spacetime, but fail even to injure him. Bloodcloud declares the battle lost, opens a spacetime tunnel, and escapes in his invulnerable blood form. The defeat leaves Bloodcloud and Silksnow's faction in hiding. Although Bloodcloud matches Silksnow's level, he lacks the savage decisiveness that made Silksnow their acknowledged leader. He supports his old friend but refuses to accompany the final attempt on Ning with his true body, sending only an avatar. Silksnow's fatal gift
Bloodcloud cannot kill Ning directly, so he weaponizes information. He approaches Emperor Goldisle, swears a lifeblood oath to establish the truth, and reveals that Ning now owns Silksnow's extraordinarily valuable realmship. As a Dao Alliance Emperor, Bloodcloud can require its leaders to transmit a message to the other connected realmverses. He uses that rule to advertise the prize, expecting Hegemons and other ancient powers to converge on Darknorth and kill him for it. The scheme succeeds in drawing numerous outsiders, though they ultimately fail to take the vessel. (Chapters 1221–1238)
Ning's later acquisition of Flamewing makes resistance impossible. Bloodcloud tells the surviving Emperors of Silksnow's faction that their only chance is to leave the Flamedragon Realmverse and wander the Great Dark. Appearance and personality
Bloodcloud is first described as a black-robed elder and later as blood-robed. After Silksnow's death, red light shines in his eyes and his smile makes him look fiercer and more savage.
He combines cruelty with caution. Bloodcloud is willing to join an overwhelming formation, expend a lethal treasure, and lure outsiders toward Ning, yet he repeatedly recognizes danger before Silksnow does. His reluctance is not compassion: it is a clear assessment of cost, reputation, and survival. He remains loyal enough to grieve for Silksnow and deliver his final revenge, but not loyal enough to sacrifice his true body in a hopeless plan.
Abilities and cultivation
Archon-class power
Bloodcloud is an Archon-class Eternal Emperor, explicitly equal to Archon Silksnow in power and capable of leading the strongest members of the fiend palace. Before Ning reveals his improved abilities, Silksnow considers Bloodcloud the only present Emperor able to beat Darknorth directly. Later comparisons confirm that Bloodcloud stands among the apex Emperors below Hegemons, even though Ning defeats him too quickly for the corpus to show a named ordinary attack. Sea-of-blood invulnerable form
Bloodcloud can transform his body into a vast sea of blood. This invulnerable form disperses his substance across bloody waves, allowing him to envelop an area, shield an ally, survive physical penetration, and flee as a giant moving wave. Bloodcloud co-leads the Seven Killers of the Blood Disk, a scalable formation requiring at least seven participants. The assembled Emperors create an enormous turning blood-colored wheel and can change variations when members are lost. Its strength comes from combining many Emperor-class bodies or avatars; it is not Bloodcloud's solo technique. The formation's operational weakness is mental disruption and member loss. Bloodcloud owns a curved, glowing object that becomes a beautiful crescent moon when activated. It is a consumable or limited Hegemonic attack-treasure rather than a repeatable expression of his own Archon-level cultivation. The moon travels deceptively fast—slightly ahead of Silksnow's Sithe longspear—and delivers a Hegemon-class impact. Used together, the two treasures knock Ning backward but cannot injure his armor-supported, highly defensive body. The expenditure therefore creates an escape opening without securing victory. Spacetime escape and avatar
Once Ning's suppression weakens, Bloodcloud tears open a spacetime tunnel and escapes. He also maintains an avatar capable of remaining with Silksnow's avatar in a hidden estate-world and receiving information when the true body is elsewhere. Strategic use of oaths and networks
