Ykrodas Havarok is a Havarok princeling and one of the strongest outside competitors in the Twilight Ascent.

Biography

Role in the wider conflict

Ykrodas enters the Twilight Ascent with strength and resources sufficient to hold the upper reaches of the contribution ladder and gather Havarok forces around an ancient city. His competition with Uona makes him a natural, if distant, counterweight whom Zac can approach through intermediaries; the two ultimately cooperate loosely rather than waste their missions fighting each other. By their next meeting Ykrodas has reached Hegemony, yet watching Zac kill Uona with a glimpse of Chaos and seeing the resulting imperial losses leaves him conflicted rather than triumphant, tempering rivalry with firsthand awareness of Zac's danger. Appearance and personality

Ykrodas has the purple irises characteristic of Havarok nobility. He is ambitious enough to contest the Twilight Ascent's richest objectives and pragmatic enough to cooperate with another dangerous contender, while his later complex reaction to Zac shows that pride has not erased caution. (Chapters 754 and 1161)

Abilities and cultivation

During the Twilight Ascent, Ykrodas stands well above most rankers and is associated with multiple advanced life- or death-aspected Dao Branches through the ladder's requirements. He later appears as a Hegemon. His precise class, techniques, and stage within D-grade are not stated, and his placement on the ladder should not be treated as a complete measure of combat strength.
