Uona

Uona Noz'Valadir is a blood cultivator of the Eternal Clan sent to the Twilight Ocean to help seize the Eveningtide Asura's path to Autarchy. She becomes Zac Atwood's principal rival for a Splinter of Oblivion and turns the City of Ancients into a blood-powered trap before their conflict ends under Heavenly Lightning.

Biography

Arrival and the stolen splinter

Uona arrives in the frontier doubtful that such a desolate sector can produce an Autarch, but becomes animated by reports of the Eveningtide Asura. She initially calls stealing his opportunity low-class, only to accept her steward's argument that another Autarch of their bloodline would elevate their branch within the Eternal Clan. This mixture of reluctance and dynastic ambition defines her mission: she does not mistake predation for virtue, yet still places family advancement above the stranger whose path must be taken. (Chapter 687)

During the Twilight Ascent, Uona takes the Splinter of Oblivion and draws both Zac and Aia Ouro toward the City of Ancients. She recruits or converts thousands of blood thralls, feeds their blood into a Blood Effigy, and lets the Eidolon incorporate the remnant into a competing soul ritual. Her goal is to make the two threats destroy one another without directly violating the Eternal Clan's restrictions. When Zac survives and Aia's force collapses, Uona retrieves the splinter through a dead thrall and rejects Zac's offer to sever their karma because her instincts say surrender will lead to her death. Blood Effigy and death

Uona fights Zac through a world of blood that blends illusion, real attacks, concealment, and ranged spears. His nullification briefly wounds her, but mortal danger awakens a berserk bloodline state that restores her speed and force. She draws replacement blood and energy from the distant Effigy, expelling contaminated blood whenever Creation enters her body. The reserve lets her outlast attacks that should cripple an E-grade cultivator, but it also makes the Effigy a single point of failure. Zac abandons the direct contest and destroys its core instead. (Chapters 773–775)

The backlash drains Uona and destabilizes the ritual, but she still moves the splinter into the collapsing Effigy and seals Zac's escape. When he forms a Glimpse of Chaos, she destroys all seventy-five Nodes and cracks the nucleus prepared for her future core in an attempt to flee. The sacrifice is insufficient against the pressure of the Heavens. Golden lightning extinguishes her spirit, and Zac takes her body and ring. Her defeat ends the blood ritual and demonstrates the final cost of treating the remnant and the realm's population as tools she could control from a safe distance. (Chapters 775–778)

Appearance and personality

Uona is a beautiful young vampire with sanguine eyes and a composed bearing suited to an Eternal Clan scion. After Zac's earlier annihilation attack, two regrown limbs are dark red and veined, lacking the spiritual completeness of the rest of her body. She fights in heavily inscribed armor that remains exceptionally durable even when its energy is nullified. In her berserk state, tainted blood coils around her, her eyes shine like red beacons, and the restrained aristocrat gives way to visible hunger and ruthlessness. (Chapters 687 and 773–774)

She is intelligent, methodical, proud, and capable of recognizing distasteful conduct without refusing its rewards. Uona manipulates rivals through law, ritual, and deniable proxies, mocks Aia's greed, and normally fights by controlling range and exhausting an opponent. Her confidence becomes a liability when she assumes the Blood Effigy and clan protections can contain every consequence. Even in extremis she remains decisive, sacrificing years of preparation rather than passively accept death, but terror replaces calculation once Chaos removes the rules on which her plans depend. Abilities and cultivation

Uona follows the Path of Blood and possesses the bloodline of the Eternal Clan. Creating a thrall normally costs essence blood and burdens the soul, yet she fields more than three thousand by using resources prepared by her elders and a Blood Effigy that gathers sacrifice across the City of Ancients. Thralls retain enough organization to fight in groups, burn longevity for a final surge, and transfer the blood of the fallen to surviving companions. The scale is strategically overwhelming, but it depends on ritual infrastructure and external reserves rather than proving Uona can create limitless servants from her own foundation. (Chapters 768–772)

Her principal combat domain manifests ten blood suns and a world that is simultaneously illusion and physical attack. It blinds ordinary senses, dismantles hostile domains, hides Uona, and launches dense spears from multiple directions. She can transform into blood for rapid movement, create replacement spears, and sense or answer attacks from outside her direct field of view. The Splinter's unmistakable aura compromises concealment, while nullification can sever her from the domain and disable empowered armor. After seeing Zac's trick once, Uona adapts by staying outside its limited radius and timing her skills around his activations. (Chapters 773–774)

At the threshold of death, her bloodline erupts into a berserk state that multiplies speed, strength, aggression, and regeneration. Blood tendrils hold catastrophic wounds closed, while fountains of expelled blood purge foreign Creation and let her continue fighting. This state remains dependent on the Effigy feeding her heart; once Zac transforms its core, Uona suffers an immediate backlash and loses most of her power. Her final detonation of Nodes and prepared core nucleus grants only a brief surge. It is a self-crippling escape measure, not a completed core formation or durable progression. (Chapters 774–777)

Items

Uona uses high-quality armor, blood spears, and a sealed spatial ring, but none is established as a named signature artifact. The Blood Effigy is a ritual construct created for the clan's Autarchy scheme, while the Splinter of Oblivion is a contested remnant she briefly controls rather than an enduring personal possession.

Relationships

• Zac Atwood: Uona steals the splinter Zac needs and repeatedly tries to turn his pursuit into fuel for her ritual. Their contest becomes irreconcilable when she refuses exchange and he destroys the Effigy that sustains her. (Chapters 765–778)
• Aia Ouro: Uona encourages Aia to use the corrupted remnant, expecting greed and Zac's desperation to ruin the Eidolon. She regards Aia as a worthy opponent outside the Twilight Ocean but exploits the trial's conditions to leave the Hive grievously weakened. (Chapters 771–773)
• Ykrodas: Ykrodas pursues Uona's forces while trying to protect the Havarok plan. Her army and blood ritual make him cautious about direct engagement, and he ultimately witnesses her death under Heavenly Lightning. (Chapters 765, 772, and 777)
• Ventus: Ventus is dragged through the Havarok-Eternal Clan struggle surrounding the city. Uona's schemes form part of the danger he tries to read through fate, but neither controls the Chaos that ends the conflict. (Chapters 772 and 777)
