Lova

Lova is an ancient follower of Sendor who protects Esmeralda, translates for her, and negotiates her partnership with Zac.

Biography

Role in the wider conflict

Lova watches Zac's rise but initially limits her interference, allowing Esmeralda one intervention while warning that Sendor dislikes meddling with younger cultivators' fate. When Esmeralda needs entry to the Left Imperial Palace, Lova personally explains the reincarnation crisis, offers the Enshrinement of Kanba, and lets Zac choose after disclosing both benefits and risks. She also accepts a limited counter-demand that protects his associates. The bargain gives her old friend a route toward suppressing the temporal burden, and Lova's earlier assistance remains one reason Esmeralda survives long enough to pursue that chance. Appearance and personality

Lova presents herself as a composed woman who reads while extraordinary events unfold around her. She is courteous, humorous, and willing to explain ancient matters, but her gentleness coexists with a past of immense violence and a negotiator's ability to apply pressure without making an explicit threat. She has spent four hundred thousand years restraining her killing intent and reducing karmic debt. (Chapters 1039–1041)

Abilities and cultivation

Lova can observe distant events, open portals, translate Esmeralda's signs, and impose a Vastness-wide travel restriction through a decree. Her insight covers karma, false immortality, ancient inheritances, and bindings, while her history of killing powerful monks implies strength far beyond ordinary Hegemons. Her exact realm is never confirmed, and much of her authority may derive from Sendor and the Perennial Vastness rather than personal force alone. (Chapters 1004 and 1039–1041)

Items

Lova supplies the ancient Enshrinement of Kanba parchment and an information crystal used to formalize Zac and Esmeralda's agreement. These are instruments of the negotiated partnership, not established personal weapons. (Chapters 1039–1041)

• Esmeralda: Lova is Esmeralda's old friend, interpreter, and advocate. She seeks a sustainable answer to Esmeralda's accelerating reincarnations without concealing that their proposed pact serves Esmeralda's interests. (Chapters 1004 and 1039–1041)
