Legendary Cursed Shield

The Legendary Cursed Shield is a Dark Magus weapon forged for Tilon during the Behemoth assault. It converts defense into stored power and survival, but binds its wielder to constant combat by making destruction or prolonged inactivity fatal.

History

Tilon's compulsory weapon

Raze forges the shield from a powerful enemy and sends it to Tilon while Polter threatens the Crimson Crane. Its weightless handling, force negation, and stored-energy release give Tilon enough power to defeat an opponent otherwise beyond him. The victory also activates a permanent dependence: the shield cannot simply be discarded once its curse is accepted. (Chapters 597–601)

Tilon continues carrying it through later conflicts, including Flendon and the funeral attack. Its requirement for regular battle turns ownership into an obligation rather than a passive advantage. The shield is still intact and bound to him at its latest explicit status in the supplied corpus. (Chapters 875–876 and 1136–1159)

Abilities and properties

• Negates or absorbs force, stores combat energy, and can release that energy as power or healing. (Chapters 599–601)
• Can reflect force when inverted and return after being thrown as a cutting weapon. (Chapters 599–600)
• If destroyed, it kills Tilon; if unused in combat for twenty-four hours, it self-destructs and kills him. (Chapters 600–601 and 1153–1159)
