Dame's Cursed Gauntlets

Dame's Cursed Gauntlets are Legendary-tier equipment crafted by Raze for Dame. They reproduce the defining traits of dead companions around Dame's own Hybrid body, turning grief and inherited strength into a combat system while imposing a permanent personal curse.

History

A permanent bargain

Raze crafts the upgraded gauntlets as Dame prepares for enemies beyond the limits of his earlier equipment. Accepting their power permanently costs Dame his sexual potency, a curse he consciously accepts because refusing the weapon would leave him unable to protect his allies or pursue the future he wants. The new equipment also replaces access to his prior soldier-based ability rather than simply adding another unrestricted power. (Chapters 1115 and 1133–1149)

Echoes of the dead

At the funeral attack, Dame calls forth spectral impressions of Simyon and Han. The gauntlets add their defining traits and Qi to his own strength, allowing him to combine electrical reinforcement and other inherited effects with his Hybrid body. He continues to invoke stored traits in Pagna and Alterian, but the process drains large amounts of Qi and cannot be treated as the dead returning to life. Abilities and properties

• Reproduces a dead person's strongest traits or power around Dame while adding their Qi to his own. (Chapters 1149–1152 and 1236–1238)
• Can manifest effects associated with Simyon's electrified body and other stored companions. (Chapters 1150–1152, 1237–1238, and 1353–1354)
• Heavy use consumes substantial Qi, and receiving the gauntlets costs Dame access to his previous soldier ability. (Chapters 1149–1151 and 1315)
• Binding the weapon permanently curses Dame with sexual impotence. (Chapter 1149)
