Professor Tink

Professor Tink is a Central Academy scholar specializing in magical theory, puzzles, and formation circles. He knew Raze Cromwell during Raze's former life and becomes one of the few academy figures to hear the truth of his survival during the Central exchange.

Biography

Puzzle supervisor and theorist

Tink supervises an exchange-event puzzle and recognizes unusual depth in the visiting student's solution. Their discussion develops into a sustained theoretical exchange, after which Tink apologizes for applying the shallow label of “genius” and offers a reward. When Raze asks about extracting memories, Tink says that no official item can do so, but outlines a layered theoretical process requiring a target-specific key, a storage crystal, and a separate display method. He does not pretend to know the missing extraction procedure. (Chapters 1411–1413)

Recognition of Raze

Tink catches Raze sealing Ibarin's office and initially treats the intruder as a possible spy. Their shared knowledge of old academy politics opens another possibility: Ibarin had stolen credit and sabotaged rivals, so Raze's past accusations may have been constructed. Raze then reveals his identity and Dark magic. Tink is frightened but listens rather than immediately raising an alarm; the next chapter shows no security response from him, although the corpus does not state a permanent allegiance or later decision. Appearance and personality

Tink is an older man with a long, slightly unkempt beard. His office is crowded with books, scrolls, power stones, and incomplete circles, reflecting an absorbed researcher rather than a polished administrator. He is warm and intellectually generous when theory is involved, but his fear at Raze's revelation is genuine. Curiosity lets him hear the explanation; it does not erase the danger or prove unconditional trust. (Chapters 1411–1418)

Magic, cultivation, and abilities

Tink's demonstrated specialty is magical formation design. He draws and interprets runes, constructs puzzle circles, recognizes sophisticated alterations, and can separate a hypothetical memory process into acquisition, storage, and projection layers. These are advanced theoretical and instructional skills, but the corpus supplies no star rank, elemental affinity, combat spell, or proof that he can actually extract memories. (Chapters 1411–1413)

Relationships

• Raze Cromwell: Tink remembers casual theory discussions with Raze from his first months as a professor. Their renewed exchange earns intellectual respect before Raze entrusts him with the dangerous truth of his identity.
• Ibarin: Tink knows Ibarin's history of taking credit and undermining other professors, which makes him willing to reconsider the official story about Raze. He is not shown directly joining the campaign against Ibarin.
