The city mission

Ponyo joins the squad's lodging discussions, asks for details when the others describe Raze's wealth, and remains with the team as their investigation escalates into public danger. His dry lips and nervous reactions show the pressure, but he still readies his sword and follows Marcus's defensive plan. Paired with Shing, he guards the building's doors and other openings while ranged teammates cover the windows, helping the trapped Wanderers survive until the crisis ends. (Chapters 463–479)

Departure from the city

After the group is allowed through the checkpoint with documents whose authenticity Ponyo cannot judge, he focuses on leaving rather than reopening the issue. He asks Marcus to refuse similar work in the future, noting that the squad has already done its service and repeatedly become entangled in greater dangers.
