Rynein Boers
Rynein Boers is a self-taught Eighth Circle Archwizard who spends thirty years in seclusion before answering Sienna's call to help create magic's next step. After emerging into public life and fighting in Hauria, she becomes Aroth's Green Tower Master. (Chapters 422 and 620)
Biography
Hauria and the Specter
Rynein disappears from the wizarding world's records as a Sixth Circle wizard and independently reaches the Eighth Circle through decades of solitary meditation and study. With no interest in fame or honor, she ends her seclusion only when Sienna Merdein invites the continent's Archwizards to help advance magic. Rynein contributes to the divine-ascension research in Akron and later accompanies Sienna and Balzac Ludbeth in the assault on the Centipede Mountains, using her own Signature on the battlefield. Despite initially denying any ambition for office, she is appointed Green Tower Master after the war and lends Sienna her tower office. (Chapters 422, 467, 471–473, and 620)
Appearance and personality
Rynein is described as an unkempt, reclusive-looking woman whose hair has grown out completely; its color and her other physical features are not established in the selected evidence. She is quiet, respectful, hesitant in social settings, and uninterested in attention or rank, but the prospect of reaching the end of magic immediately overcomes her preference for isolation. (Chapters 422, 450, and 467)
Abilities and powers
Rynein is an Eighth Circle Archwizard trained through independent practice. She has nonflying familiars and possesses a Signature that makes the desert around her churn and seethe while she holds a hand seal. The selected chapters do not name that Signature or explain its exact effect, range, cost, or limitations, so its mechanics beyond the visible disturbance remain unknown. (Chapters 467 and 472)
