Ifrit

Ifrit is the Spirit King of Fire. After initially refusing Melkith El-Hayah's attempts at a contract, he agrees to lend her his flames when their goals align against the black magic corrupting the Samar Rainforest. (Chapter 287)

Biography

Ruhr, Lehainjar, and the Dragon Conflict

Melkith seeks a contract with Ifrit through a Fire Spirit Stone but fails to persuade him at first. The desecration of Samar's spirits, Earth Veins, and natural balance by Edmund Codreth's ritual changes the negotiation: Ifrit shares the other Spirit Kings' anger and contracts with Melkith on the condition that she save the forest and stop Edmund. His fire then completes her three-Spirit-King combination, Infinity Force, and helps annihilate demonic beasts. Ifrit remains an outspoken presence in later battles, urging Melkith to punish black wizards and demons while also accepting restraint when fighting around civilians becomes a concern. (Chapter 436)

Appearance and personality

Ifrit's independent bodily form is not described in the selected evidence; his presence is shown through crimson flames around Melkith and through his voice. He is proud, fiery-tempered, demanding about proper respect, fiercely hostile to black wizards and demons, and angered by abuses that corrupt spirits or turn humans into monsters. (Chapter 420)
