Ayla enters the story through Aman's proposal that Cyan court her, with her father recommending rare weapons rather than dolls as gifts. After meeting Cyan, she corresponds with him frequently and develops an openly strong attachment. She later stays at the Lionheart estate to learn its traditions, cheerfully identifying herself to Eugene and confirming that she wants the union. Following the war, Cyan escorts her home to Ruhr, and their wedding is scheduled for when she turns twenty. Appearance and personality

Ayla has a lovely, youthful face, large innocent eyes, and an unusually tall build inherited from the Ruhr line. At eleven she is already comparable to or taller than the older Ciel, and at twelve she remains visibly taller than Mer and Raimira. Her appearance seems precocious, but her behavior remains that of a cheerful child: she waves enthusiastically, likes affectionate nicknames, and treats Mer and Raimira as older girls. Abilities and powers
