Biography
Arrival And Survival In The Infernal Realm
Elquin enters Inigo's scheme as its strongest hired expert, keeping Phusro bound by a master-servant contract and forcing the great beast to remain in kitten form. He protects Salomon long enough to manipulate the inheritance chase and has Phusro stage the deaths of Linley, Delia, and Bebe. Although Inigo urges him to remove the witnesses, Elquin refuses to kill Bebe after learning of Beirut and releases the trio. Learmonth then challenges him; Elquin initially dominates, but Learmonth breaks through during the duel and kills him, freeing Phusro from the contract. (Chapters 499–506, 621)
Appearance and personality
Elquin is a pale, sallow man in black robes, often holding the golden kitten form imposed on Phusro. He is calculating and cruel toward his bound servant, yet pragmatic enough to abandon Inigo's demand when Beirut's possible retaliation outweighs the reward. (Chapters 499–506)
Abilities and cultivation
Elquin is a Seven Star Fiend who progressed from Demigodhood over an immense span of time. He specializes in speed and attacks with a long black whip shaped through the power of a nine-headed serpent, overwhelming Learmonth until the swordsman's breakthrough. (Chapters 499–506)
