Black Moon broker

Zi Ji receives Yun Che at the Black Moon Merchant Guild, quietly reveals that his information network reaches far beyond ordinary commerce, and trades aid without pretending it is charity. He supplies intelligence during the Divine Phoenix conflict and later discloses his connection to the Illusory Demon Realm. Even after Yun Che's power eclipses the guild, Zi Ji survives by recognizing when secrecy, candor, and restraint each serve him best. (Chapters 403–410, 453–472, and 1888)

Appearance and personality

Zi Ji appears as a composed elderly man with a measured voice and penetrating judgment. He dislikes unnecessary claims of generosity, frames favors as transactions, and remains courteous even while controlling what others are permitted to learn. (Chapters 403–405)

Abilities and cultivation

His greatest demonstrated strength is intelligence work: appraising treasures, maintaining hidden contacts, and judging powerful clients. He also possesses substantial profound cultivation, but his personal combat ceiling is not the basis of Black Moon's influence. (Chapters 403–410 and 453)
