Biography

Guardian-family resistance

Yan Zijing stands with Yun Qinghong when Duke Huai turns the Demon Imperial City celebration into a contest for political control. Though he warns that accepting the challenge could ruin every loyal family, he refuses to make fear an excuse for dishonor and sends Yan Chengkong to fight. Zijing continues protesting Duke Huai's manipulations and remains part of the guardian-family resistance restored after the coup fails. (Chapters 544–569, 614, and 855)

Appearance and personality

Zijing is a forceful clan patriarch whose caution is matched by a fierce sense of family honor. He recognizes traps quickly, advises restraint, and then commits fully once retreat would mean accepting Duke Huai's version of loyalty. (Chapters 544–549)

Abilities and cultivation

As Yan Family patriarch, he is a Sovereign Profound expert and commands one of the Illusory Demon Realm's guardian houses. His greatest recorded effect comes through leadership and coordinated allegiance rather than a unique named technique. (Chapters 544–569)
