Medicine Hall deception

Xiao Baicao is called to assess Xiao Luocheng's shattered body and recognizes that ordinary treatment cannot restore it. When Yun Che returns in disguise and demonstrates “One Finger Profound Opening,” Baicao's medical awe helps convince Xiao Tiannan to trust the stranger. His expert endorsement unintentionally enables Yun Che to strip the Medicine Hall of treasures and leave Luocheng in even worse condition. (Chapters 89–91 and 117–122)

Appearance and personality

Baicao is an elderly physician whose professional confidence gives way to visible excitement before a technique he believes surpasses the great doctors of the empire. Learned and sincere about medicine, he is also vulnerable to a performance tailored precisely to his expectations. (Chapters 89–91)

Abilities and cultivation

He is the branch sect's leading doctor, knowledgeable in meridians, injuries, medicines, and profound treatment. His expertise is genuine within New Moon City, but he cannot recognize Yun Che's disguise or reproduce the purported opening technique. (Chapters 89–91 and 117–122)
