Biography

Loyalty turned against Yun Che

Mo Cangying helps Helian Lingzhu shelter the newly arrived Yun Che and accepts his apparent weakness and gratitude as genuine. He continues defending Helian interests when the group enters the collapsing Qilin God Realm. Surrounded by eleven Half-Step Divine Extinction experts, Cangying concludes that Yun Che's determination to protect Long Jiang will get him killed. He desperately attacks the woman in hopes of removing the cause of that danger, believing he is saving Yun Che. Yun Che responds without hesitation and kills him in one strike, revealing that the trust Cangying thought they shared was part of Yun Che's disguise. (Chapters 1980–2014)

Appearance and personality

Mo Cangying is a young Helian warrior whose direct manner and protective instincts suit his place beside Lingzhu. He is loyal, earnest, and willing to risk himself for people he accepts. That virtue also narrows his judgment: in the Qilin crisis he decides on Yun Che's behalf that Long Jiang must die, never understanding the relationship he is interrupting. (Chapters 1980–2014)

Abilities and cultivation

Cangying is an accomplished Abyssal cultivator trained by Ku Xian and trusted in dangerous expeditions. He can launch a committed attack while surrounded by experts far above ordinary practitioners, but he remains utterly below Yun Che once the latter drops his disguise. His final action demonstrates courage and speed, not power capable of changing the battle. (Chapters 1980–2014)
