Biography

Tournament rival and steadfast admirer

Ling Jie enters the Blue Wind Ranking Tournament as Heavenly Sword Villa's exuberant young prodigy. Defeat by Yun Che inspires admiration instead of resentment, and he openly adopts Yun Che as a model even when their factions diverge. He later aids the defense of Blue Wind, carries news between allies, and greets Yun Che's returns with the same impulsive loyalty that defined their first contest. Appearance and personality

Ling Jie is introduced as a youthful, energetic swordsman whose speech outruns ceremony. He is candid, excitable, and sometimes tactless, but also unusually generous toward a stronger rival and brave when his homeland is threatened. (Chapters 161–163 and 351–358)

Abilities and cultivation

He practices Heavenly Sword Villa's sword arts and commands a flying sword with speed exceptional among his generation. His talent earns wide recognition in Blue Wind, although his older brother Ling Yun initially possesses the greater refinement and cultivation. (Chapters 161–163 and 219–228)
