Steward of Blue Wind's profound palace

Dongfang Xiu oversees Blue Wind Profound Palace, evaluates its most promising disciples, and supports Cang Yue during the imperial struggles surrounding her father and brothers. He recognizes Yun Che's extraordinary value to the kingdom and becomes one of the established figures who welcome his victories rather than treating him only as a disruptive outsider. During Divine Phoenix's invasion and the difficult recovery that follows, Dongfang Xiu remains aligned with Cang Yue's court and the institutions needed to rebuild Blue Wind. Dongfang Xiu is an older, dignified man whose bearing reflects both scholarly cultivation and court experience. He is prudent, loyal, and capable of adjusting established judgments when talent or political necessity demands it.
