Cang Shitian
Biography
From southern emperor to imperial enforcer
Cang Shitian first appears as the flamboyant ruler of the Ten Directions Deep Sea Realm and a provocateur among the assembled god emperors. When Yun Che's northern host overturns the Southern Divine Region, Shitian rapidly submits, helps destroy Nan Wansheng, and trades his throne to Cang Shuhe for a place in the new order. His theatrical opportunism becomes useful as he accepts the brutal work of enforcing Emperor Yun's laws. (Chapters 1150–1152, 1784–1792, and 1866–1873)
Appearance and personality
Shitian is handsome, extravagantly dressed, and frequently smiling. Mercurial, irreverent, and exceptionally perceptive about shifting power, he embraces disgrace and danger with a zeal that makes even allies uncertain whether he is acting, exulting, or both. (Chapters 1150–1152 and 1866–1873)
Abilities and cultivation
As a god emperor, Shitian is a tenth-level Divine Master and one of the Southern Divine Region's supreme water-aligned cultivators. He survives battles that destroy other king realms, but plainly cannot oppose Yun Che's highest forces directly. (Chapters 1785–1792)
Relationships
- Yun Che is the sovereign to whom he submits and whose punishments he executes.
- Cang Shuhe is his royal sister and chosen successor as Deep Sea God Emperor.
- Nan Wansheng is the former peer whom Shitian betrays and helps kill.
