Qin Wu’s Bronze Mirror

Qin Wu’s Bronze Mirror is an ancient treasure Qin Wu uses to identify the Godfiend who altered Meng Dajiang's memories. It does not replace Qin Wu's investigation: he first reconstructs the attacker's appearance and connection from surviving soul memories, then channels his power through the mirror to pry into heavenly secrets and reveal Chunyu Mu's true identity.

History

Turning a memory trace into an identity

Qin Wu examines Meng Dajiang's soul, separates implanted recollections from memories the soul still preserves, and recovers the disguised attacker's appearance. He explains that this surviving contact creates a connection through which identity can be deduced, but the act is beyond unaided observation. He then produces the bronze mirror, channels colorful light into it, and waits until the image of the white-haired Chunyu Mu appears on its surface. (Chapters 225–226)

The result clears the immediate factual question but does not create evidence that another sect must accept. Qin Wu warns that only a few humans can identify someone through heavenly secrets and that he accomplished it with a precious treasure; Black Sand Grotto-Heaven can still dismiss the result without conventional proof. The mirror therefore advances the investigation and directs a political response, but it cannot compel jurisdiction, expose the unknown mastermind, or substitute for interrogation. Its later custody and use are not documented. (Chapter 226)

Divination through an established connection

The mirror displays an image of a hidden person's true identity after Qin Wu closes his eyes and directs waves of colorful power into it. In this use, the target has already left a connection in Meng Dajiang's soul, and Qin Wu has recovered the attacker's disguised image through memory analysis. The scene supports identity deduction from that prepared link; it does not establish unrestricted observation of any distant person at will. (Chapters 225–226)

The operation depends on both treasure and wielder. Qin Wu explicitly says that even he needs a precious object to pry into heavenly secrets, while the mirror remains inert until he channels power into it. No activation phrase, fuel, cooldown, range, or repeat-use limit is stated. The displayed identity is useful intelligence but not independently verifiable evidence under the three sects' rules.
