Wan Mang
Wan Mang is a senior Mirror Lake Dao Academy disciple known for exceptional natural strength. Before Meng Chuan's breakthrough, he and Bai Guan are treated as the strongest competitors among the academy's Marrow Cleansing disciples.
Biography
A leading disciple acknowledges a new senior
Wan Mang enters the academy competition as one of the two established favorites, having previously defeated Bai Guan once for first place. Meng Chuan's newly revealed Third Autumn Leaf technique changes that hierarchy. After Meng Chuan wins, Wan Mang courteously addresses him as senior rather than challenging the outcome or clinging to his former standing. (Chapters 7–9)
He later represents Mirror Lake Dao Academy at Jadesun Palace's Demon-Slaying Meet alongside Meng Chuan and Wu Qi. His participation establishes him among the academy's selected young fighters, but the corpus does not show his individual bout there or state his later cultivation. (Chapters 12–16)
Appearance and personality
No detailed appearance is supplied. Wan Mang smiles when greeting Meng Chuan after the ranking change, suggesting sportsmanship in that scene. The narrative gives too little direct dialogue to establish wider motives or a stable personality beyond his acceptance of the result. (Chapter 9)
Abilities and cultivation
Wan Mang is a Marrow Cleansing cultivator born with tremendous strength. His raw strength at that realm is comparable to an ordinary Mortal Shedding cultivator, giving him an unusual physical advantage. The corpus does not name his technique or show how that strength fares against a demon at the meet. (Chapters 7–8 and 16)
Relationships
- Meng Chuan: A fellow academy disciple who overtakes him in the rankings; Wan Mang recognizes the new hierarchy without recorded resentment. (Chapters 7–9)
- Wu Qi: Another Mirror Lake representative traveling with him to the Demon-Slaying Meet. (Chapter 12)
