Commander Wyrm, also called Poison Wyrm, is one of the two demon commanders attacking Blazing Sun Castle during the Eastcalm Prefecture invasion. He seeks to capture the newly awakened phoenix-bloodline cultivator Liu Qiyue, but Meng Chuan reaches the battlefield and kills him with a single empowered saber strike. (Chapters 57–60)

Biography

Attack on Blazing Sun Castle

Commander Wyrm joins Commander Ox in pinning down the castle's sharpshooters and directing their subordinate demons through its defenses. After recognizing Liu Qiyue's phoenix bloodline, he urges a quick capture and plans to offer her to Mountain Lord Nine Convocation, explicitly accepting the loss of ordinary demons as worthwhile. He then intercepts Meng Chuan so that the assault can continue. (Chapters 57–59)

Wyrm releases invisible poison and casts a forbidden spell when Meng Chuan accelerates, but cannot follow the attack. Meng Chuan's saber cuts through his scales and beheads him; the death immediately damages the invading army's morale. Later mentions only report this confirmed death. (Chapters 59–61)

Appearance and personality

In humanoid form, Wyrm has green dragon scales, sharp claws, powerful legs, and a dragon tail. He is fast, confident, and dismissive of subordinates' lives. His anticipation of capturing Liu Qiyue and loyalty to the Mountain Lord are shown directly; the corpus gives no earlier history or private motive beyond the operation. (Chapters 57–59)

Abilities and cultivation

Wyrm combines high speed, durable scales, claws, and poisonous gas. The poison consists of minute worm-like forms, drains protective Quintessential Essence, and is expected to kill after entering a human body. Meng Chuan's perception detects it and his empowered speed ends the fight before attrition matters, establishing both the poison's danger and its need for exposure time. (Chapter 59)
