Xu Song

Biography
North-bank Chosen
The Archway Peak lord pays a high price to recruit Xu because of his Godchanneling body. Rumors credit him with controlling five beasts simultaneously and pursuing an enemy for three months before feeding him to his beasts. In the north–south Chosen battles, however, Bai's medicine turns beast control into a liability and leaves Xu frightened of the very creatures he commands. He thereafter joins Beihan Lie and the other Chosen in watching Bai's increasingly impossible achievements with a mixture of rivalry, fear, and unwilling respect. (Chapters 86–136)
Xu remains an elite Spirit Stream disciple through the sect merger. He studies the spell-formation giant techniques developed around Bai's example and controls a giant in the confrontation with the Blood Stream Sect. His last appearances show complicated emotions over Bai's Blood Lord revelation; the corpus does not state his later cultivation or fate. (Chapters 207–283)
Appearance and personality
No stable detailed appearance is supplied. Xu is fierce, proud, thoughtful around stronger rivals, and deeply unsettled when an opponent can reverse his bond with battle beasts. (Chapters 86–136)
Abilities and cultivation
His Godchanneling body supports exceptional beast control, including command of as many as five wild beasts. He later helps operate a spell-formation giant. The source does not give a secure final cultivation stage or name his beast-control scripture. (Chapters 86 and 277–281)
